Are my ROG STRIX 3070Ti temperatures normal?

Hello, I've recently bought brand new ASUS ROG Strix 3070 Ti OC edition, but temps seemed too high for me. My fans are spinning at 1900 RPM %75 Fan power and gpu is 67-70 Celcius. Is it normal for this card? I'm playing on 3440x1440 monitor. While on load GPU-Z shows my gpu memory temps at 90C-98C range. Is it normal for a brand new gpu to get this hot?

At attached results I benchmarked RDR2 Max settings 3440x1440.

And I got Pwr, Vrel, Vop at PerfCap Reason, is it a problem?

As per the list, your memory temps are a bit higher than expected, but someone with the same card might want to provide additional details.

Can small case cause memories to overheat? I'm using Asus GT301 and between my front fans and my gpu there is a very tiny gap.

these temps dont look normal for the strix

I don't think the case is to blame. If that were the case (heh), your GPU temps would be higher than that, but as you can see from the list, GPU temps fall into the normal values.
The case has sufficient airflow

better references btw, all 3060ti and up strixes share the exact same heatsink/fans

Is it normal for a brand new gpu to get this hot? Is there a way to understand if GPU is second hand?

What case and fan are you using? Looks pretty warm.. I haven't seen mine get that warm, but it isn't an Asus.

3060Ti doesn't use GDDR6X, but the 3080 12GB does

Do you know which quality settings they are using while doing these tests?

I would maybe consider upgrading your fans. I don't really see a lot that can be done with that setup.

GDDR6X is hotter...
3060Ti reviews are the older versions, with GDDR6. 3080 12GB is a bit better comparison

so?
doesnt change the fact that they're sharing the heatsinks.
also, the OP's gpu (die) temps seem to be quite a bit higher than what you'd expect from a strix (could be attributed to the case ig), and the strix is one of if not the best performing ampere wrt cooling/temps

Same heatsink cools two completely different types of memories, of course GDDR6X OP has is going to be hotter- that's why 3060Ti with the same heatsink isn't a good comparison.
It's basics... can't believe we're having this discussion.

@ineventhorizon Easiest you could try is upgrading or speeding up your case fan. Good luck, I'm out

duh.

in case you havent noticed yet, w1zz didnt test for memory temps at all, so yeah
but the thing is, even ignoring that the gpu die temps seem to be like, at least 5 degrees above what one'd expect from a 3070ti strix

oh, interesting
must've missed that part - but he doesnt test for memory in the cooler comparison part, which is where i was mostly looking at

Can overheated CPU cause GPU to heat up? My CPU heats up a little much I think. On load it is always around 80C , I'm using Intel's stock cooler on cpu

what cpu

if its something like a 10400f, even if its 95c it matters little as its 65w - its not the temps that matter but the wattage

How are your case fans configured and placed? I'm guessing two in the front as intake and one in the back as exhaust?

I'm using Asus GT301 and it's stock coolers, 3 in front as intake 1 at back as exhaust

ig stock coolers can contribute to it since top blowers tend to blow hot air into the gpu's intake but

these temps look way off for a strix, and looking at the gt301 it doesnt seem to be one of those inept, suffocating hotboxes so yeah

i'd rma the gpu

The easiest thing to try is increase case fans speed in BIOS, but I don't think it's going to help. It's most likely a bad mount/thermal pads on VRAM.

The temperatures are probably not going to damage your GPU, but if you can I'd get a replacement as @Selaya said.
