I wonder if admins can make a new poll about this matter (now that we know there wont be a surprises) and or compare these (and the new) poll results(vs prev Pascal launch). Because - I have never seen such a performance/price decrease with new generation release, performance/price is even worse than AMD Vega (how can a new gen - be worse than Vega in anything?) - I would rather buy a console than reward nvidia for this joke... I wonder how many people feel the same

Im getting 2070 if it can match 1080Ti in TPU tests. good enough. priced at 550 euro that is.

At 7nm we get the same card +30% core clock but 192 bit -30% bandwidth, the price will drop but still how long do we wait.

Are we waiting GTX 580 to 680 or GTX 980 to 1080 period, or 480 to 580.

If they move to 8/10nm this is like GTX 280 to GTX 460, it is big jump.

I have been using GTX 280/GTX 460/GT 1030 for so long, same performance. barely 720p.

GTX 280 has 1400 transistors. new card 2080 has ~14000 transistors, and it is in fact 10 times faster, only 10 times. 10 years wow.

next stop is 3nm with 140000 transistors in 10 years LOL. by that time RTRT will be the thing.

I don't see a reason to upgrade my water cooled 1080ti.
My frame rates are perfectly acceptable for 1440p gaming on max/high settings.

Plus current prices for the RTX 2080ti's are just crazy stupid as far as I'm concerned.
