It's not only the Apex boards that have a non-standard PCB shape. Asus has recently also started to apply it in the TUF series

Ah! TUF boards haven't been interesting after they lost that premium status after Sabertooth boards.

Still, the colors of that Gaming boards brings immediatelly Apex boards to my mind.

I think for me the most interesting part about these new B365 boards is not extra PCIe lanes or absent USB3.1, but rather RAID support out of the box (both PCIe NVME and SATA).
Would be an interesting option for a future work PC upgrade, if I don't go team Red before it becomes available.
