ASRock B550 Taichi

I'm sorry, I fail to see anything "mainstream" in a $300 motherboard.
Had this been in the $150-200 range, sure, I wouldn't have mentioned it.

I'm pretty jaded about features going away and reviewrs being mum about it. Dual BIOS, on board power and reset buttons, M.2 slots even diagnostic LEDs seem to increasingly harder to come by. And the prices don't come down to compensate.
Sorry for your failures, in that case :(. It's B550 and this one happens to be the most expensive of the platform. The rest are much less as compared to the enthusiast chipset ($300 peak vs $700 on the high end).

Yeah, whining about features that are missing on a budget chipset is lost on me (and most). You go though!

So now it's not even mainstream, it's budget. Fwiw, I went over to newegg, only a third of B550 board can be had for $150 or less.

I forgot, AMD has another level down.. we'll call that budget. :p

It's worth nothing. I already explained the range and the mean between the two platforms. I can't wrap your head around it for you. ;)

The sooner you understand that few people are using 2+ M.2 drives and stuffing SATA ports full isn't but for a select few users, the better off you'll be. :)

Agree to disagree and stop boring people any further?

Given that there will likely be no more new chipsets for AM4, I'm curious to see if AsRock will produce a refreshed X570 Taichi; maybe an X570 Taichi Ultimate (like the previous X470 Taichi Ultimate), and just price up from the old X570 Taichi and this B550 Taichi.

Hey, you leave his selection bias, confirmation bias and self projection out of this! The man knows he's right, and ain't no amount of evidence to the contrary will convince him otherwise!
