ASRock was rumored to enter the graphics card market as per a report by DigiTimes. The motherboard and soon-to-be graphics card manufacturer just released a teaser on their Japan Twitter account that confirms this rumor. The mysterious graphics card in the video belongs to their Phantom Gaming Series. Although the exact model wasn't revealed, DigiTimes's article stated that it's probably an AMD Radeon-based card. From what can be seen from the 30-second long video, the graphics card features a dual-slot design with a black and white theme. The graphics card apparently relies on two fans to provide active cooling and a single 8-pin PCIe connector for power.

Nice job on that quick edit. I was just getting ready to point out how WTF that sounded. "Speculations affirmed...probably". WTF? Anyway...who are these "sources" and how are they "confirming" it..."probably". I'll let the fact that you can't "affirm" or "confirm" a "probably" slide.

EDIT: Much better. Thanks.

Is this still a mining card or a regular card ?

it says in the title gaming series..

so they fixed the BIOS to not allow for mining? lol "gaming" gaming = marketing team has last say in name of product

if it can be gamed on it can be mined on

if it can only be mined on it can NOT be gamed on. (the "mining cards" don't have any video output)

LOL, it doesn't say mining series..... It's a gamers card but what the buyer chooses to do with it is not my concern. Try nitpicking elsewhere

Also don't try to school me on what a mining card is, I'm not stupid...

unpopular opinion passing through - looks like a cheap TUL-like solution for companies with no actual cooler R&D solution

I don't doubt that it is. Probably will be the same as a visiontek and power color card (also TuL). I use them in my mining just fine.

Would love for them to be sapphire/pcpartner though.

That or sourcing from where XFX used to.

IKR? Last we heard a few days ago it was rumored to be a mining-centric card that ASRock was releasing. Now this. Maybe it's both. Maybe it is misdirection. We shall see.

Looks like some sort Asus STRIX/ Colorful design shroud hybrid. At least it fits their recent PRO series motherboard line-up color scheme. I have the AB350M Pro4, I think it looks okay.

Actually there are "mining" cards with video outputs. Not that gaming branded stuff has mattered for miners from cleaning out the stock.

TUL makes the Diamond line, those are pretty close to Sapphire, or atleast used to be, i dunno if they still are similar or not.

edit
seem to no longer resemble each other.

Low quality post wut?

Stop the miner bashing, it makes you sound 12....

I personally doubt that they will release just 1 card lol. Just because you see 1 8 pin connection in a photo does not mean they don't have a full lineup ready..... It would be pretty stupid to release a Rx 580 and nothing else in the RX or Vega lineup...
