well its not exactly a 'cooler' it just lifts your laptop up at an angle so cool air can run underneath it

your comment about cooler is what had me thinking it had a fan

the little dull text thing says theres two versions, a 2.4W USB and a 24W mains.

the 24W model should be ok.

I reckon they could have made the 2.4w one with an AC plug so you get 2.4w just from the laptop but 24w when plugged in to mains

yeah, but i think the problem would have been that at 2.4W their wasnt enough power to drive the things with enough volume.

In order to make it 2.4W and 24W, they'd need two sets of speakers.

Altec Lansing had a set of speakers that done that but I dont think it was a big jump to 24w though I cant seem to find any specs anywhere - its not even on Altecs site anymore but people are still selling them.
