ASUS GeForce RTX 4060 Dual OC

One quick question... there's a new model, the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 V2 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 DLSS, which is a bit smaller than the one reviewed here. Will this V2 version be as quiet and have the same temp behavior as the one reviewed here?

My guts tell me no since it's smaller and has a worse cooling solution, but I can't tell for sure. The original model reviewed here is 230 x 120 x 50 mm, and the V2 model is 200 x 120 x 40 mm.

Jesus, Asus sell 126 different 4060 cards - that's completely ridiculous.

Until you see a review of the V2, assume your observations are correct - the smaller cooler looks cheaper and is likely inferior until proven otherwise.
Given there was no good reason to release a V2 at all (it's not like V1 had issues) the reason for the V2 is likely cost savings for ASUS that will never get passed on to the buyers.

For the 30-series cards, Asus called all of the LHR anti-mining cards V2, because they didn't like using the word "low". Not only was that hugely unhelpful by not deterring miners who only knew to avoid LHR cards, it was also disingenuous because it was an identical card that had been revised in no way whatsoever. The only change was that Nvidia was cutting the hashrate on a silicon level. At any rate, there is no such LHR event for the 4060 so I'm not sure that the V2 as it meant in the 30-series is applicable anyway.

Yeah, I agree, I don't like so many different designs, just do 3-5 versions (one very basic, another completely overkill, and then fill the middle with 1 or 2), to each their own, and that's it.

Anyways, if that wasn't enough, there's another version, the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 4060 EVO OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 edition.

I don't know what's different between the regular vs the EVO. I would love it if Asus freaking explained their products...

I love the 4060 because it uses so low power, it's still powerful, and it's efficient, also not using much power lets you have a very quiet design and temps (these 2 fight each other). I am considering buying the Dual 4060 from Asus, but need to clear my mind about these 3 models. I guess I will pick the one reviewed here, so quiet, godly.

The thing about the 4060 is that it's so low power that just about any half-decent cooler is overkill for it.
If you're buying it specifically for low noise levels then any card with a dual-bios switch will do because if it has a "quiet" BIOS then you know at least one of the BIOSes is tuned for low fan speeds.

At least on that front, most of the Asus models have dual BIOS, so realistically even if you end up finding a different ASUS model you should be okay provided they didn't cut costs and remove the quiet BIOS to save 20 cents at the factory.

The V2 version looks to me like Asus' way of repurposing the shroud stockpile from their GDDR6X 3060 Ti's. The heatsink does look smaller, but the upside is the V2 is an actual dual slot card, instead of 2.5 slot.

May be... I would buy it if it has the same noise levels and thermals as the regular Dual. The thing is, I don't find any reviews, and that review wouldn't mean much if it's not done by the team that did this page's models (to check in the same scenario)

It is, but as you can see in this page, comparing different models of the 4060, some are WAY louder than others, and some perform simply better. That's why I want the Dual. I could use the Gaming X or Strix, but these are normally absurdly expensive, besides I like compact GPUs (that have nice thermals and noise levels, NOT at the cost of these two).
