ASUS is keeping its Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card lineup trim, with just two SKUs, both of which are factory-overclocked. The lineup is led by the ROG Strix Radeon RX 5600 XT O6G, while its affordable sibling is the TUF Gaming X3 Radeon RX 5600 XT EVO. ASUS hasn't finalized the clock-speeds for either, as it's rumored that AMD is working with its partners to increase them across the board, to make the RX 5600 XT competitive against the GeForce RTX 2060. Both ASUS RX 5600 XT graphics cards are largely based on its RX 5700-series board designs as the RX 5600 XT is carved from the same 7 nm "Navi 10" ASIC.

The ROG Strix RX 5600 XT O6G features the company's premium triple-slot DirectCU III cooling solution with three Axial-Tech fans, idle fan-stop, plenty of RGB bling on the cooler shroud and metal back-plate, and a high-grade VRM solution that pulls power from a combination of 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe power connectors. The TUF Gaming X3 RX 5600 XT EVO, on the other hand, also features a triple-slot design, the TUF X3 cooling solution with three Axial-Tech fans (the one in the middle is smaller than the others); idle fan-stop, and a metal back-plate. This card pulls power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, unlike the ROG Strix.

Looks like same cooler as on RX 5700/XT. That means high temp, higher noise, faster memory degradation and more power consumption.

Asus made by far the worst navi cards. Even the reference ones were better. We can assume that 5600xt will be crap as well, thats how it works Asus.

I don't get it, Asus makes very good nvidia cards but it looks like they decided to make navi as bad as possible.

They did slightly improve the TUF Gaming's cooler. It now has Axial-Tech fans (something RX 5700-series TUF cards lack).

Axial-Tech fans is not what is improving TUF 5700/xt cooler. With insufficient cooler and no contact or half contact with hot components and lack of mounting pressure better fans are just fasion accesories.

As @ernorator said fan was not the problem, not enough cooling heatsing for memory, poor QC was few among problems.

I think that they meant this by the crappy cooler.

Seriously Asus, wtf is this crap with Radeons? Vega cards had already similar issues.

In some cases they use the same coolers as with Nvidia cards..

memory degradation? what u drink bro?

Without sounding like a Sapphire/Powercolor fanboy but always stick with these guys for AMD =)
Asus and even MSI are slowly trying to be like Razer with marketing their products and charge premium price.

It'll be a...Tuf sell...*cough*

Anyway, yes, very poorly designed cards. Just avoid any Asus AMD product until they can prove otherwise.

Well im not a huge fan of msi products, usually you can buy cheaper and better stuff from other brand. Buy Asus can make some really good products. I have asus rtx 2070s strix and its excellent. They make very good motherboards for intel and amd.

Agree their motherboards are really good and they do release some good products..That PSU they have is pretty cool concept but pricy lol.

When you run your memory beyond the safe temperature set by the memory manufacture, the memory will degrade. It is 95°C for Micron GDDR6.

O boy, o boy. Asus went goof on this  .

MSI can do it because their high-end cooler do the job done.

Holy moly, its like TUF is Asus signature 'we make it shit for you' series by now.

I seriously struggle to understand this company. They are so low on the mindshare list for me given all the stunts of the past years. And they used to be so high.

memory degradation? what u drink bro?

Dunno, ever had a GPU artifact on you?

That is memory degradation.

Sad to think that it went from premium to entry-level crap. The Sabertooth series was great..

True, but it's true for both sides that the ASUS variant is WAY overpriced. Just check MSI Gaming or EVGA in NV cards, and check Sapphire Pulse/Nitro+, MSI Gaming or Powercolor Red Dragon/Devil. They are cheaper than the Strix variants and offer same (NV) or much better (AMD) quality.
