ASUS Launches GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua OC Edition Graphics Card

ASUS today announced the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua OC Edition graphics card, designed for gamers and creators who seek cutting-edge performance that operates at whisper-quiet noise levels. Building on the class-leading design of the ASUS GeForce RTX 3070, RTX 3080, and RTX 4080 Noctua Edition variants, this premium graphics card achieves near-silent operation thanks to the Noctua fans, an ASUS custom-built vapor chamber and a massive heatsink.

The impeller in this fan is made of Noctua's proprietary Sterrox liquid-crystal polymer and has an exceptionally low thermal expansion coefficient, allowing the fan blades to sit just 0.5 mm away from the outer frame. This extremely tight tolerance allows the NF-A12x25 to work more efficiently against back pressure by reducing the leakage of airflow - perfect for a densely-packed GPU fin stack. A metal-reinforced motor hub and axis further support this extremely precise gap between impeller and frame.

Go figure..... leave it to AsSus to create an uber-sized card (& fuggilly too, but that's Noctua's thing) which will only work for those who have mobo's with 4 slots + a lot of room below them, or those with 5 slots, which are normally few & far between IIRC...

Most of the bulk is fans and plastic shroud, it's not gonna be over 2 KG.

I think I posted it in the ghetto mods forum, not sure though. No measuring and I went YOLO.

Might mess around with Lego bricks. I've done something similar to help keep those microphone clamp things stable.

I found these couple of days back while searching for GPU support, not as discreet as the GPU wire EVGA provided but still far better than the RGB crap that seems to be present everywhere.

Most of the bulk is fans and plastic shroud, it's not gonna be over 2 KG.

Given how 4080 Strix was 2.44 kg and 4080S Strix 2.38 kg, it will probably be slightly lighter than 4080 Noctua which sits at 1.92 kg.
The 4080S TUF comes in at 1.96 kg but its shroud is all metal.

Yes, but if instead of 60C you run it at 55C, instead of 10 years, it will last you 12! Or, you can squeeze 200MHz more out of it and gain 5% more performance. Instead of 5fps, you can have 6. Instead of 100fps, you can have 105! Truly a game changer, I tell you
