ASUS Launches the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM Monitor

G-Sync "compatible"? So does it have the Nvidia module (hardware) or is it just software based?!

So many people have no idea about the difference between G-Sync & G-Sync compatible monitors! I bought my son a $1,480 (including shipping & tax) 3080-12GB gpu! Of course I want a monitor that has the hardware in it for G-Sync! I actually wish this was G-Sync Ultimate!

G-Sync compatible has no hardware part, it's the avaibility of the Monitor to use Freesync (AMD) on NVIDIA (GSync) GPU, a sort of certification pass.

Check GSync and ultimate to list available hardware GSync monitors :

Yeah seems like companies can just "slap" G-Sync Compatible on a lot of monitors, though I seen the module does cost extra money. (Check the Alienware AW3423DW's older and newer versions as an example aswell as the PG279QM vs XG27AQM)

Now please a 34" or 37" ultra wide monitor with the same specs please.

Bios 1.0.5 (firmware) is out since 2023-12.
