ASUS ROG Goodies for Computex 2009 Unveiled

That can be done, although not a "couple". There is a strong chance that W1zzard will undress one of these soon™.

You could get them for SLI testing purposes ;) Then sell them to me at a bargain price in exchange for permanently branding my mATX i7 rig in the name of TechPowerUp! :D

please?

As a die hard ATI owner I will admit I am insanely jealous of those Nvidia cards. Man they are sexy. If those GPU's were men I would be thier gay sex slave.

I almost expect to see that cooler on a hd4xxx series card.

I have yet to see a ATI card that looks as nice as some of these cards do. I mean that Mars card look unreal.

Here are the specs of the Matrix GTX285:

The Asus Matrix logo on the side of the card is the LED indicator. It looks very cool.

Why can't every card have this?

Because they recently thought of it. I expect to see this design used on other cards, plus it has a bios "burning" feature that allows you to set your clocks, then "burn" it to the bios. It also has a "safe mode" button that will boot the card up from a backup bios chip on the card. It also comes with a video memory tweaking utility. :D

Did you know, NVIDIA P651 (the reference PCB for the GTX 280 / GTX 260 65nm cards), had provision for it.

The "GeForce" branding you see next to the power connectors, was supposed to be backlit. Similar fancy lightings were tried out with 9800 GX2. Alas, no partner chose it.

Sadly, the logo you find is studded onto the cooler. It's chrome/plastic. It's not like it has provision for LEDs behind it.
