pretty sure I remember in the servers list in both demo and retail 3 or 4 servers with */150 players or maybe it was a 100. I can't remember.

Played bf2 since it came out and never seen a 100 man server. Haven't checked since 1.5 beta 1 but never heard about 100 men servers even modded.

80 player servers are going to be sick!!! maybe they can give us more jets so we can do some formation flying. or maybe the could just they could just give us some VF-19's & VF-25's so we can really get in there & tear shit up!!!! Hell yeah - then maybe people would quit team killing & 'Hijacking' each other but as always there needs to be a correct balance - too many aircraft will just wreck the game especially for those on the ground. imagine, Wake Island with 4 jets on each side??? that would just make the game insanely for harder for ground forces - constant Aerial bombardment there should be some sort of queing system implemented where a guy can put his name down to fly a jet or something & only HE can fly it when it comes to his turn. I dont know - I only know that people 'jacked' me so i jack them back & in doing so I jack other people as well. I try to let other players have some air time but there are some players who will literally crash into the sea or get downed within 30seconds of take off & Its them people who try n whore aircraft to i hijack off. you dont know how to fly!!! Ive have over 58hrs in a jet let me fly it noob

you can go stick to your infantry only servers I suppose you could call games such as BF2 simulators because they 'simulate' battles that are fought everywhere, Vehicles are just a perk of the game & because most countries will supply more then just 2 fighter aircraft/choppers/tanks per side during the war unless the countries economy is literally non existant then they cant afford to put money into their warchest.

if team mates are fighting over vehicles NOW. what do u think would happen in a server full of 80 people - MOST of them wanting to fly a jet which theres just 2 of???

IMHO people spend more time squabbling over jets/aircraft on the carrier then playing the actual game contributing towards the team efforts. doesnt it get tiresome??

In a real war Grunts do not fly aircraft, Grunts do not drive battle tanks, Grunts simply take their M-16 or any rifle/gun and head into battle ( If BF had you choose between a Grunt and an Flyer of a Tank driver ok )....EA just always wanted to give some extra fun into the BF series and thus they added Aircraft, Choppers, Tanks, Mechs etc, etc. If they add more aircraft most people will fly them and there will be like 5-10 people on the ground fighting and that would be unacceptable. If you want to pilot Aircraft there is always Lockon, Black Shark, Hawx and more, thats my opinion on the matter.

sorry but i find you slightly hypocritical. - you dislike the concept of the game but youve been playing it since it started??? & in agreement with mailman - if you want just all out grunt warefare, go play CoD & stay off the battlefield. If battlefield never had any vehicles then it wouldnt be Battlefield & thats something that is pretty unique about the games & has ALWAYS existed in the franchise even when you go back to BF1942 - its what makes BF, BF & not something else with the EA tag. theres no need to be an ass about it.

This isn't real war though, Its a game, not a simulator and arcadish game of war. People who are shot in the head cant be revived by shock paddles. EA added in vehicles from air/land and sea to make the game different from call of duty. If your bothered about vehicles then go on inf only or a map like karkand where there is no aerial aspect of the game.

Not 50, but just enough, i get tired of fighting 10 members of my own team just to get a plane.

I doubt they would stick 50 planes in a map. Maybe more than 2 in a 80 man server maybe about 3-4 per team. Also would be cool if they had aviator maps and large vehicle maps with more than enough mechanized units so that everyone can jump in a vehicle.

Ok, so you have 58 hours in a jet. You do realize you started that 58 hours with the first hour. Then the second, and so forth.

This is the problem with games that have been out for a while. It's very hard for new players to start because everyone just gets pissed that they don't start out as an Ace.

Get over yourself. You started out once, and others would like to do the same.

I never said that I totally Jet whored 100%. I always give people a chance but there are people who will crash 9 times out of 10 30 seconds RIGHT after take off. & thats the kinda people who want to whore the jet more then anything & thats one thing i dont like - people seem to forget that you can set up your own LAN game & learn the basics of flying that way. Luckily for me I already knew how to fly since I had experience from BF1942.

tell that to the noobs, they dont seem to have masterd the concept of fair usage. just because they managed to get the jet once means that they have to have it EVERY fucking time for the whole of the game. the usual shit where they tk you for it or FORCE TK you so many times u get kicked from server.
