Played my first round of NS last night. It wasn't a bad experience.
Played Lost Island Conquest. I like the map.
The round sucked because we owned them so their whole team except
2 players bailed and just flew around the map in Jet's.
It had a little lag, but very playable. No rubberbanding or netcode issues that I seen.
I may try it out some new modes this week. I think I will play Carrier Assault and defend.
From what I hear there are issues with people not holding captured areas.

Last night I played in a SDM server it had maybe 14 players total and also a Conquest server with about 20 people. After about 15 min of game play the rubberbanding kicked in and it was so bad. Giant sad face to EA/DICE.

I played a few rounds of Domination last night after a week or two hiatus.

Intermittent rubberbanding showed up, but of course it happened just as I was going to get a knife kill or two.

I don't even have Premium or the Naval Strike dlc - can't Dice stop problems creeping back up with each successive dlc release?

Sadly that's true. Dice's record is untarnished in that respect.

Old news but Polygon revised their Battlefield 4 review further 7.5 to 4.0 - OUCH!

Its a big overreaction. I'd give the game an 8. Works fine on my system. When it first released, it ran like crap but when I started playing it again 2 weeks ago it ran perfectly. With every EA title you just have to expect it to suck for awhile.

Play the game via LAN and you'll really appreciate how messed up the multiplayer gameplay is on their servers.

Also, This review isnt really relevant anymore as theres been quite a few patches since. I dont think EA got slammed hard enough for what they did to the franchise, Dice on the other hand arent totally blameless as they are the people behind the game itself but people expect better from a developer that has made so many BF titles & expansions to date. They keep releasing patches that fix bugs but create new ones at the same time, and its not the first time this has happened with BF4.

Dice in a nutshell = Much experience, Such incompetence

Which I can understand your feeling that way, but I think they are giving the review based on the majority as they should. And having been out 6 months now it should be fixed and it isn't. I am an old time BF player and this is as bad as the first Battlefield Vietnam ever was and that thing tanked because of bugs and playability. Don't get me wrong I have some good moments playing 4 , but the negative shit out weighs the fun way to much. I will sit in front of my PC and think do I even want to chance dealing with the BS or browse the internet or play an older title. For $100 people should expect more and demand more.

I've been playing BF since the 1942 beta, they have always been buggy.


I bet they added the Megalodon because it was easier than fixing the "netcode".

The netchode is fine, they need a more robust server system with an increased tick rate. (Tick rate = the amount of times in a given time that the server communicates to the client and vice-versa.

I have never played one that made me want to kill my computer except Vietnam. Now this one.
