I started playing BF4 again recently and I have to admit, that new (new for me at least) patch hasn't done much for me. However there wasn't much wrong with the game at all when I played it before the patch. Also I noticed that quite a few more people are playing assault and keep stealing my revives! I NEED to keep my SPM over 1,000

EDIT: also does anyone have any idea when Final Stand will be released?

I wouldn't expect Final Stand before Thanksgiving.

Not yet, but I will. I came back to the game recently, and was playing only TDM/domination to get the hang of it, but grew sick of those mods by now.

Somehow I think/hope classic mode is played by less retarded people who at least understand what the meaning of the word teamplay is.

That's surely part of it but I suspect some of the differences vs normal could also play a role but that is speculation.

If I'm playing by myself, or with Phenom (which can sometimes be the same thing) I exclusively play Hardcore. That brings the retard quotient down, and the PTFO up. It's also nice that people actually drop when you shoot them, especially with the usually emasculated coaxial and secondary gunner weapons.

I tried playing conquest for the first time since I started playing again, and instantly remembered why I was mostly playing domination before.
I had high hopes for classic mode, thinking the limitations would keep retards away. I was SO WRONG. Part of the team was playing snipers, who either 1) stayed close to the base and tried shooting something, or worse 2) jumped into vehicles, drove to the nearest high elevation point, and abandoned them. Other part was getting killed in random places. The rest I have no idea about. It looked like there were 16 people, not 32. Noone was running together, there was absolutely no teamplay whatsoever, so the round ended within 15 minutes by a huge baserape.
I am very bad player, and can't do much at all by myself, so this was huge letdown.
Domination is awesome (well, from this point of view), you can do stuff yourself and incompetence of others usually won't fuck you up.

That kind of crap usually varies from sever to server, and is usually easy to deduce from the server name. Servers with the tags like "Teamplay, acive admis" are usually better than ones with "No muff is to tough" or "Noob Slaughterfest." Hunt around for good ones. I have around ten decent servers I play on, but it takes time to weed them out.

I don't know, I think it's completely random, and server name has nothing to do with it. A few servers might have more stable playerbase, but that's about as good as it gets.
I might try playing hardcore. If that doesn't work, I might as well uninstall the game.
The hopeless retardness and incompetence of average Battlefield player is driving me nuts, and has been since I bought BF3.

I don't know why you wouldn't want to play on a server with such positive reinforcement as "No Muff is to tough" in the title. Its like Jim Bakker himself is channeling through Battlefield with his rays of enlightenment.

While I do not know how many points you'll need for rank 140 when Final Stand comes out, I do know most of the numbers from playing on CTE. The numbers from 121-130 were accurate from CTE when the last DLC came out, so I'm sure these numbers will be accurate too.
