The new be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM PSU line looks great! Besides low noise output, it also offers high performance and good build quality. The Pure Power 11 FM 650 faces strong competition from the new Corsair RM650x with ML fan, Seasonic GX-650, and XPG Core Reactor 650, though.

Although this PSU has a very good performance(though ,not optimal cap selection) , whenever i see multi-rail PSUs i tend to instantly walk away.
(*It's my personal feeling ,but i never liked the multi-rail design. Never bought one and never will )
 
Low end 85C caps should be on PC PSUs should be prohibited, i'v opened many dirt cheap phone chargers to my surprise, many of them use 105c main capacitors. The difference between 85c and 105c caps is really not that higher than a 1$
Yup. And due to the way certain component lifespans halve with each 10c increase, a 2,000hr 105c cap is probably going to last nearer 8,000hr @ equivalent 85c rating (vs the crappy 2,000hr 85c bulk caps in these). The resulting 5 year warranty of this "Gold" PSU speaks for itself vs 10 years warranties of everyone else using 105c caps. Quite shocking really as I always assumed beQuiet to not skimp on that stuff. Certainly not on "Gold" PSU's. I've also never understood their overly segmented Dark vs Straight vs Pure vs System categories. Far from giving consumers "more choice" it just encourages them to artificially cripple the lower end brands (cheapo capacitors or deliberately crappy fan curve both of which hardly cost anything) to give some of the others a reason to exist.

Could be worse. They could be EVGA.
 
What is 0-20 dBA, is there any way to measure it? The best sound meters start from 20 dBA.
 
It depends on the MIC you use because, in good sound analyzers, you can change the MIC. Mine goes a little below 6 dBA. And you need a special chamber, of course, to go so low.
 
I was wondering, how important are the minor rails these days (5/3.3V, Haswell and later)? This PSU has max combined 120W, and some of the 650W units reviewed (SF Leadex) go down to 100W. I want to upgrade a uATX motherboard and this website
Gives around 110W assuming a couple of usb3 ports for a desktop, which seems marginal. On the other hand, assuming a mini-ATX power spec goes down to 90W which seems reasonable.
I'm wondering if these power estimates are not a complete overkill given other articles I read.
