So "console-optimized monitors" are a thing. Apparently eSports players on consoles can't lug their big TVs around to BYOD events (local LAN parties), and so BenQ has come up with the Zowie RL2755T, which has been certified by Sony as an officially-licensed product for the PlayStation 4. The 27-inch monitor features a TN-film panel, with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 1 ms (GTG) response time, and up to 75 Hz refresh rate.

BenQ makes up for these specs otherwise brushed aside by PC gamers, with a narrow bezel design, low response-time, Black eQualizer (a feature that enhances dark areas of the screen to help you spot enemies), flicker-free brightness adjustments, and dynamic color vibrance that helps you spot distant enemies. The stand offers height and tilt adjustments. Display inputs include two HDMI inputs, and DVI. The company didn't reveal pricing.

so if I can ''LUG' a 27'' whay cant I do a 32 or 40'' tv ? i'll bet a darn good hdtv cost less then this thing will and then you still got a tv to use when not gaming . ya. i'll buy that [not]

'' Display inputs include two HDMI inputs, and DVI. '' you would think you'd get a display port as a selling point over a hdtv ?

''The company didn't reveal pricing ' lets see I can get a nice good for gaming 32'' hdtv in 1080p for 200 bucks +/- so this unit i'll say 125 at best for a guy who fall for it

I guess there playing off the esports hype / suckers for the sales ?

Lol at Console eSports Monitor.

It's like a racing version of Fiat Uno.

Nah, it's a Sony certified official PS4 appliance for goodness sake. You gotta add another $100 to its price tag.

I like how BenQ get away with creating a cheap gaming monitor and call it "console-optimised". I wonder how much the bullshit "PS4 certification" cost them? After all, all you need is a basic monitor with a HDMI port for it to work with a PS4. Making it TN with 1ms gtg makes it a "gaming" monitor that will work with anything. I guess I'd do this "certification" too if it helped me to sell more monitors.

Notice how it doesn't actually show that it's "PS4 certified" anywhere on the monitor? ;)

the big strong selling point that's missing is no 20 way user adjustable LED lighting . that's a no sale right there right off the bat . who the heck wants something with out that ?

No Freesync?
I would expect it on an E-sport monitor.

PS4 GPU is GCN1.0 Does not support freesync. PS4 Pro is GCN4.0 and should support is though.

I just don't see the point of the product. Any HDMI monitor is PS4 "Compatible".

What I'd like to try is a PS4 Pro on a 27 inch 4K monitor.

you know not to say its the greatest but then look how many in the reviews use it and well satisfied for gaming use for 200 bucks ? then you got a tv when not gaming on it .

I use there 1080p 32'' as a monitor and game on it right now and its good to go and I would try one of there 4k's out if I get what this 1080 been doing for me ..

only thing I wish they would do is add display port to these TV's and don't know why there not [any brands ] these days

so you like a 27 monitor instead of 40+ '' that may be as good for maybe less $ . I don't know I not bought a ''monitor'' in some time now just all hdtv's and my old super fast CRT real pc monitor

It's kind of funny that console gamers use PC monitors.

PS4 GPU is GCN1.0 Does not support freesync. PS4 Pro is GCN4.0 and should support is though.

Both the Xbox One X & S now support Freesync 2.

LOL console certified monitor is actually a PC monitor with outdated spec.

Yes, because Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Dragin Ball, Fifa 18, PES, Madden, call of duty, etc are not a thing on e sports scene and no big money can be made from it.

Ignorance.

You've got a point about these games being the example, but please, don't tell me this monitor is any different from a decent TV. A gaming monitor should make a huge difference for playing, that's what it does for PC gamers. This is just a standard screen with a zowie logo on it, hooked up to a device that can produce 60 fps at its best.

Not sure why you also quoted me for this, but doesnt change the fact that it is funny, kind of like a PC gamer who uses a TV for a Monitor, its funny because of the divide between the two groups, also was talking in general not about esports, more and more console gamers use monitors because they have better response time and are better suited for fast pace gaming.
