Yes they never play by the rules and never will. And no US does not cave in, only democrats do. That is why when dems are in power world is like at it is now. No security.
Thank you for calling it out, communists...

BS, The republicans cave as much as anyone else. Don't blame the Democrats for your issues. The world isn't as simple as you might think. So, unless you know the inner details, keep politics out this conversation. The trade deals both parties make when they are in the WH are incredibly complex, some of my former professors worked in the White House and all of them laugh at what the media reports. Most people have no idea how long a trade deal takes to put together and how many people are involved.

If your only concern is security, I wouldn't want to be associated with your type of mindset, security over freedom right? "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Benjamin Franklin said this quote and it still applies today.
It is DNC failures,

Agreed. the US government need to start strategically picking critical industry to claw back in the long term. im not against trade, just there is a clear problem when the US is awarding Chinese medical producers DOD contracts for medical supplys.
Yeah, I will be honest to say that I was flabbergasted to learn that 3M couldn't make N95 masks here in US but had to rely on China to make the masks. I think at the moment we are seeing a fundamental shift in a lot of people sentiment that some important things that can't be made in China, things that are vital to us, such medical supply, electronics, etc. It won't be everything (such as toilet paper), but I can see there will be changes. Hopefully, the sentiment will persist, and given the current turmoil in Europe, I think people will realize we can't be too dependent on other countries for important things.

Whatever you think pal... At least I never voted for DJT. My conscious is clear for the rest of my life.
Not sure why you brought him up in this convo but with that said it's pretty obvious you've never spent time in a communist country.

You've all already been warned, stop with the unrelated political bickering. If it's because there is no more relevant discussion to be had, then this thread has run its course.

As we should be, if the US hadn't handed the manufacturing sector over to democrats to run out of the country in exchange for kickbacks and places at their tables as "advisors" once their ruined political career was ended we would still have this manufacturing here, and its up to us the responsible ones to pay and push for the manufacturing to be brought back where its well regulated by the EPA (all the lefties crying about electric vehicles don't know how terrible the environmental laws are where their precious cars and made and don't understand Tesla is only in it for the carbon credits) Detroit and other major cities are welfare states that are like scenes from third world countries and all democratic leaders with enough corruption to make Batman gag.

There is no way that we should be importing as many goods from China and propping up their economy and advancement by selling out our own citizens. We borrow Trillions from China to give out as "assistance" so the idiot masses can run to the store and but the new gadget made in China so we can grow our deficit and pay China interest only. Stupid policies by welfare leaders who believe the common person needs to be reliant on the government so they have power over them.

I say put the tariffs back in place and even higher.
I think this is the least intelligent and most inaccurate thing I've read today and I spend A LOT of time on the internet, so that's really saying something.

Yes ... Belarus.
Okay? So... How does that matter here? Just because you lived there doesn't men you have the type of experience to discuss this subject. I have a degree in Political Science. I've spent hundreds of hours reading about so many subjects regarding all manners of political systems and none of what I am reading from your responses hold any water. I'm not reading any depth facts, only right wing propaganda. If you respond to this I'm not going to waste my time anymore. I've got better things to do.

How about expanding on that first quote.

Does China have one of the worst environmental records in the world? Yes they do.

Does the EPA regulate environmental laws in the US? Yes they do.

https://www.epa.gov/newsreleases/gr...ine-american-economy-flourishes-under-trump-0
Greenhouse Gas Emissions Continue to Decline as the American Economy Flourishes Under the Trump Administration

Does the US rely too much on China for products that should be made here? Yes they do.

Now feel free to disagree with my reply but please have something to back it up with.

What was the point of the tariffs and did they accomplish any goals except for lawmakers from both sides to look "tough" and get the votes?? China didn't back down, they still made a bunch of money, they didn't change their behavior, they still don't give shit, etc.

The great sideshow and yet we the consumers eat it up and we ended up with the bill. What else is new? I'm glad it's over so I can pay MSRP for my GPU; screw the politics....
