Oh, that's the one that HWUnboxed said was the worst one they ever reviewed

No, that was the 6600 XT. This will in other words answer the question on everyone's mind: "If a cooler is absolutely and completely unsuited for a 160W GPU, exactly how bad will it be on a 132W GPU?"

My prediction: still a dumpster fire, just slightly less of a blazing inferno.

Yup.

75W heatsink on a 160W card.
I doubt this vanilla 6600 is going to fare much better as it's still a 75W heatsink on a 130W card.

I think you're rather generous in calling this a 75W heatsink :P

Oh man.

Biostar announces they have learnt nothing by using the same cooler everyone complained about, and said was complete garbage...

This looks nearly identical to my GTX 750Ti Windforce heatsink from 2014 (a ~40W card).

40W and 28nm, so much, much lower thermal density, allowing it to better dissipate that heat without a fancy transfer medium. TSMC 7nm is pretty dense!

Do ya think it'll be above or below 1000 MHz at max load?
I know it has a max boost frequency of 2491 MHz but thermal throttling to infinity and beyond.

Biostar has always been a great example of you get what you pay for. Bottom of the barrel prices go perfectly with bottom of the barrel products.

Oh. My. Lawd.

Lemme go fetch my BFH (Big Fucking Hammer) and put this thing out of its misery.

Cards like these kept aftermarket GPU coolers alive lol

Hardware Unboxed tested the 6600XT version, and it actually managed to boost, but the fans are spinning at 4000+ RPM.
It managed to be louder and hotter than any blower card.

"HDMI 2.1 VRR" - doubt.
