Bring them all on, IMO. The world can use games that put gameplay first.

Let's be honest, the only reason Blizzard can redo these and make it profitable is because of the many years of work they already put in with each vanilla release. Even to this day there is patch love for ancient titles.

People are different. No matter who's doing what there will be a group of individuals who won't like it. I for example am absolutely full of these remasters and "factory-made n+1th copysodes of the same old" games. I like to see real creative work put into things because having a remaster instead is like longing for used to be. It will never be the same as before, the only thing you can get is a pale reminder of past experiences wrapped around with nostalgia. Go forth! Be bold! Let us have Warcraft 4 instead!

Oh boy. It really is quite pathetic I have to admit. They know Warcraft 4 RTS with new story would be a game of the year almost promised, not sure if they just are holding on to that idea for when sales start falling bad on all fronts, or what... but I really hate this tactic of re-hashing the 3 main IP's, and imo Overwatch was not classical Blizzard either, was cash grab Blizzard, maybe Blizzard just doesn't have enough of the original employees anymore to really garner any of my respect anymore and its just time for me to move on. /shrug

Look at how Command and Conquer was destroyed by EA, and then look at how this is working out. I know which method i prefer.

Looking forward to Reforged as I've only played WC3 once. Did like it... just didn't have the time, at that time, to be online/replay as much I had for virtually all Blizzard games before it.

Warcraft 3 does work properly though, and even looks pretty decent still. And they still release bugfixes for it, so it's not like it's completely dead. I mean I'm not complaining but it's really not necesary in the same way C&C is.

The risk of that becoming a shameless Starcraft 2 with a fantasy setting is very real I think. Warcraft 3 already has so many super good mechanics and balance + flow, its hard to improve upon without making it akin to something else. Or it can go the other direction and become something like Dawn of War 3, which was effectively a MOBA with some fodder called units - if you've played that, you know its no way to do an RTS...

Shame. It actually had a pretty good story behind it if you actually listened to the full mission briefings. A lot (not all,) of the places mentioned in WoW and Warcraft 3 were actually from the earlier games as well.
