Blu-ray has 5 Years Left says Samsung

the DRM crap associated with all the blu-ray is what I dislike

What DRM "crap"? It is the same basic DRM idea behind DVDs, a protection to stop people from ripping the movie off the disc.

Not to mention, HD DVD had the same DRM anyway, so it's not like it somehow magically better on the DRM aspect.

the only 'DRM' thing that should be annoying, is the requirement of a DHCP compliant video card and monitor. Yeah thats a bit of a pain in the ass if you're a CRT user, but there are software methods to bypass the security.

Does anyone know how to take a screenshot of a BD movie on PC? The printscreen doesnt work and powerDVD doesnt have the functionality for BD's.

its probably a security/anti piracy thing. You could always take a photo with a camera.

My only advice would be to try other players, perhaps google and see if theres any trick to it.

I did find a way to do it, but it is convoluted and takes a lot of time. They say the printscreen process could be automated frame by frame so you get a fully HD version (albeit without sound). I just want one pic to play around in photoshop with. (funny how this DRM BS ruins it for people who actually buy the technology). I have a few freeware apps that only do screen captures and they too cannot take a pic. I know I could just download the movie from bittorrent but that is too annoying. If anyone has a simple idea please let me know. 또봐.
