Buying new PC, advices and opinions

Hello to everyone. I want to buy new PC https://www.arlt.com/PC/ARLT-Gamer-...VIDIA-GeForce-RTX4060TI-8GB-Win11Pro-RGB.html . I think that price is good. What i expect from this PC is that i can play latest and new AAA games on 1440p monitor 60+ fps. Even tho i heard that this processor will bottleneck this graphic card. I need advices and opinions. I think you could possibly build a newer better system if you build it yourself but might have to spend slightly a bit more around 1100 euros

The first question that needs to be answered by you is, are you willing to try to build a PC yourself? Most people aren't so it's nothing to feel bad about. Your thread could turn into a build thread if you don't make that clear and then it wouldn't be of help to you if you are certain you want a pre-built.

You're not lowering your expectations, you're wasting your money.

The difference in "savings" between a 900 build and a 1100 build is nowhere near the difference in performance or quality of components.
The prebuilts you're looking at come with crappy outdated power supplies, parts with an architecture from 2020 (or older), small capacity and slow SSDs, not much RAM (also slow), not to mention likely laughable cooling. There's simply nothing about them worth keeping over the long term, which is half the point of having a PC. If you want something prebuilt that's essentially throwaway after 3-5 years, buy a laptop, you get the screen, monitor and keyboard alongside it.

Avoid anything "bleeding edge" new.
That is, parts made within the past 1-2 years, anything that hasn't settled bugs.
The R5 5500 is a weird part, the 4060Ti is a weird spot and 16GB mystery memory is probably going to be a poorly matched single rank single channel DIMM.
Avoid anything that has some case of too big, too slow.
If you value physical space, avoid anything that locks you into full size ATX boards.

Looking at this loadout and price, that junk is junk. Hard pass.
Half price or better selection. Go.

Since you're going to a retired platform (and unless you're going AM5 they're all retired platform AMD or Intel) this will give you solid bang for buck.

Sad thing is that that kind of money is not enough for all new games at max settings. Below is probably as much bang for the buck you can get. @dgianstefani will tell you it's shit, because a dead platform, but the only other option is to scale back the GPU (which you don't want to do for pure gaming) or increase the budget, which you probably can't. What you can do is get something like below and keep an eye open for a deal on a 5800x3d.

Another option is of course to buy some parts used, say find a decent motherboard+CPU bundle. AM4 boards and say Ryzen 3xxx CPU's have come down in price lately.

Gray keys are 20 dollars for windows, not really that much and it's easy to install

You can find them easily for 5-8 bucks even retail copies.... You can also install windows without a license and add a key later easily... So na dog the op shouldn't factor that in unless after spending over 1k the cost of a venti caramel macchiato at Starbucks is the deal breaker lol.

If you were talking about 1080p? Then yeah, a 5500 would be ok. That CPU will hold you back in many titles at 1440p. You should consider an 8core CPU the starting point. Also, 16GB of system RAM is just not enough these days. Go for 32GB as a starting point. The 4060ti is a good choice, a 4070 would be much better and is only about 80euro(ish) more. The 1TB SSD is also a good choice, but consider a 2TB. It'll last you longer.

depends on what you want to do in the "future".
any upgrade plans in the next few years, i would go with 7800X3D, as the next 9 series wont improve on gaming perf, 5800X3D if you want to save some money.
4060ti is ok, but at 1440p, a 4070S/ti would make more sense, and you could use it a little longer.

pss (MAG) is entry level, most important part of the rig, a better tier 650w (maybe even gold), makes more sense.

Also, why would you buy pricey 7400 MT DDR5 RAM on a platform that can't do more than 6200 MT?

Extreme platform costs for a outdated within the month six core CPU with cheap storage, an anaemic GPU with VRAM it will never be able to take full advantage of, a bargain basement motherboard, and a bad PSU.

Additionally, OP is in Europe so USD prices aren't relevant as pricing can be very different.

^^THIS^^ (emphasis mine) plus there will probably be at least a few proprietary/non-standard connectors, wiring harnesses and other annoying nuisance stuff in practically all prebuilts...

You can easily build a much better, faster & more capable system all around for this money, and you get to pick the parts that will meet your expectations, AND they will be upgradeable going forward should your needs increase or change...

my part list was for germany, where op is located.
what's "outdated" or not, is up to buyer. as long as we dont shell out the funds, to get am5 instead.

as long as the perf is on same level and user wont swap stuff like the cpu, it wouldnt really matter if am4 or 5.

i rather have quality am4 parts, possibly still save a few bucks over new am5 and deal with expo, as long as you dont plan on swapping cpu later.
ignoring that there would still be stuff like 5950.
