So a game that dont hog vram and slaughter even rtx 4090 at 1080P. Nice, a welcome change in an area where the games seems to compete on who can destroy new hardware the most.

I bet if COD: BO 6 ran on Unreal engine 5, the demands of hardware would be a lot higher.

This looks absolutely mindblowing
My mind is only blown by the fact I absolutely suck in this type of games. These visuals, however, are quite a tragedy.

slaughter even rtx 4090 at 1080P
I thought if you can run a MP game at 230ish FPS you're only limited to your skill, or peripherals. Edit: disregard this, I misread your message.

Yeah I didn't quite catch what makes the visuals special in any way either, but I think its more the presentation and hollywood-quality aspects that make it tick.

Weird how weak Ampere is on this title. Even though I'm not interested of the game at all, I'm still pretty sure that Nvidia'll make some driver optimizations.

Most play the MP on the balanced setting so even a potato can hit high framerates....

True, but if the performance is similar there (that a 7700 XT beats 3090), it's ridiculous.

I'm currently playing the game tho I'm only interested in the story mode 'did not even install the mp part of the game:laugh:'.
Tbh the game doesn't look bad at all, sure its nothing special compared the some of the recent AAA UE 5 titles but for a game like this its plenty enough imo and the cutscenes are great and at least its not a stutter fest.

Maxed out the game on my 3060 Ti minus shadows on High instead of ultra + as usual I'm running DLSS on Quality for the extra headroom just in case. 'looks good the me anyway'

Shhhhh, you're gonna trigger the cod haters how dare a developer make a game that can run on hardware from the last 3 generations pretty easily......

its been running great here, using FSR3 even though it doesnt seem to do a whole lot.
holding 144 @ 5120X1440 on my 7900XTX, some things turned down but to be honest i don't notice any quality loss vs maxed out.

You should be in the 60-65c range will gaming.

I don't break 60c with a 5800X3D plus 360 AIO while gaming.
Yeah after a few matches 63C is max.

So far, playing maybe an hour a day since it launched, I have seen a few problems, usually server related. I only play MP in HC modes, so I cant speak to SP performance. MW3 MP could hit 300fps and averaged 260, dropping to 200 during large full screen explosions. BO6 MP is all over the place. I had to lower my screen refresh because it cant hit those numbers... in every level and it looks no better. Even with some of the new features, it doesn't play better either. I feel like Im running in mud all of the time and people's feet make a ton of noise, but from what direction are they coming from exactly? Stutters even when framerate is consistent and packet bursts every match. This better get better and I know it will, so I will stick with it bit.

People are telling me that FSR is broken in this game.... why would they ship with broken FSR?

The 4060 Ti 16GB makes no difference compare to 4060Ti 8GB, and in 1440p, it runs even worse with more VRAM

Like what? I love 16:10. Have a 2nd, independent, monitor on the side, really don't want a single ultrawide. I love 1:1, without pixel scaling, 27" is too small

Yeah after a few matches 63C is max.

You just confirmed one of my suspicions. My AIO is the MSI C360 and is notorious for having issues (mine is one of the original first models). So, yeah, when I get home it's going in the trash as I don't think it has warranty anymore. I will be moving back to my Frost Commander 140, I am never doing AIO's ever again. You can't beat a giant hunk of metal and fans for reliability.

I remember playing the original Assassin's Creed in 30" 2560x1600, it was a good time. I am starting to agree with you on the 27" being too small, if they ever make 30" OLED high refresh 2560x1600, I may go that route.

@W1zzard it would be nice to have performance numbers for low/competetive settings as well for competetive/sweaty games like this.
Agreed, 1080p, lowest settings here. Gotta get those frames to stay competitive. :)

There are only two OEMs for AiOs. Brands just slap their logo on them and change the look for differentiation. Ive had good luck the last ten years with various brands. Although most of my PCs are custom watercooled, my workstation has been running a v2 Arctic Freezer 420 and its been fantastic.

Tried the beta for this game and didn't care for it. Was doing really well K/D wise and the game still felt terrible. My friends and I played it in two sittings and haven't touched it since.

These game have strayed so far from where they were in gunplay and immersion/presentation.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 uses the Infinity Ward engine, also known as just "the IW engine," which traces its origins to the Quake engine developed by id Software over 20 years ago. While the engine has evolved significantly over the years, integrating advanced features like real-time lighting and dynamic destructible environments, the game does have a dated look.
@W1zzard
Correct me if I am wrong, but if I recall correctly Infinity Ward rebuilt the engine from the ground up for the release of MW19 and the introduction of IW8.0, meaning that the engine is no longer related to that old ID Tech engine.

it was a review sample from a fellow TPU member, directly shipped by MSI from Taiwan, so I thought the quality control on it would be top notch, it worked great initially. I think I will just play it safe though. I knew something was wrong when I saw temps in blops 6 beta reaching 84 celsius, but it was nice to have confirmation. good lesson learned, that's all
