I have no beef with him at all. Had no clue he knew how to tweak a bios.
Im not mad, just bummed we didnt get to understanding each other better.

But yea, @MrPotatoHead Im looking to get a modded bios for benchmarking reasons only. Not intended for gaming or daily use. Ill flash the stock bios onto the card after I beat on it a bit!!

Whats the vcore on that modded bios? Id like to compare it to what I can/have accomplish.

I will say theres plenty of head room. You could easily add 25 to 50mhz to each core and mem.

Fan profile to be at 40% starting instead of 0% would be ultra usefull.

This is what I have been saying, what do you want, more vcore, more clocks, more stable, what issues have you got, you can give me the fastest bios in the world and without knowing your limitations I don't know anything... feel I'm being massively underinformed

This card is good for easily 1350Mhz boosted. Stability is not a must, I'll tweak to accommodate that during benching.

The V-core in MSI AB only goes +37. Gonna need a bit more headroom to reach 1400mhz++

So in short. Max this out with posting stability is only required.
Flashing the card is no problem.

Oh and memory is good for beyond 1800mhz. If you can add voltage to the memory, go for it. (not sure if this is possible)

Just max it out if possible and bump the volts

This bios is at 1443, @MrPotatoHead see what volts are applied to this one compared to the stock 2015 bios?

Np bro

Heres the fastest here however lets see if we can get more from it.

OK this bios is not for my card. The update "seems" to get applied, but the window closes so fast I can't read it.
I am using NVFlash and the 207812.rom. Restart windows, stock bios remains. Still a good working card, no errors not bricked.

Watched a few videos to be sure proper proceedures as well. Uninstalled and disabled the card then (attempted) installed new rom no dice.

Sorry for the bad report. Windows installed 430.39 drivers. I'll have to install the other one I had (latest for gaming) and rock out some figures for you guys.
We may just have to mod my original bios for this to work.

Additional comment with viewing detailed.

There's plenty more in the tank.... Oh at +30mv increased but run out at +37.
I'd want to post maybe +45-55mv increased And these clocks are fine. Perfectly stable.
NVidia Driver 436.15.
Plays COD BO IV just fine, gaming OS not tweaks, pure looks Max settings 1080p 100fps.

OK we are in business!!
Big thanks to @MrPotatoHead for the bios tweaks
And big thanks to @eidairaman1 for the help with NVFlash and digging up Bios files.
You guys rock!! Can't be more greatful for the help.

So now this is a nice boost in horse power, and the GPU runs nice and cool.
Got a nice turbo boost increase, running 1.212v max temp loaded was 56c After an hours worth of game play CODBO IV.

Excellent work fellas! Check it out.

Start testing OCs with some gaming, F@H and a few benchmarks to ensure stability.

See just exactly how much I can get away with @ 1.212v

I upped the clocks a touch more. Let it run for a bit and increase again, 25-50mhz increments.

Nice man that’s a really solid oc, looks like she’s happy

I considered flashing my cards too but I am scurred. No point in flashing my dual six pin 970 anyways by the sounds of it with no extra power to be had

Both of my evga cards run at 1400 with no oc but gpuz shows stock clocks at 12something so a little confused on that.. I just assumed nvidia just gave everyone a pass and just let them all run at the same speed:confused:

Unless my used cards were flashed by the previous owners, but they really didn’t seem like the type to do that let alone even overclock them. Not to judge a book by its cover but.. the 970 ftw owner was a wow player, and the 980 classy owner didn’t have time to use it since he had twin toddlers and was looking to downsize as he preferred his R9 Fury X thingy not sure I got the name right. Was 8gb and liquid cooled.. if it helps.

Enjoy man:pimp:

Edit:

Just saw the post date:oops:
