This game was launched nearly two decades ago and I have been playing it time to time. Even today, it amazes me how well it designed and how detailed the graphics were. I don't know maybe I'm aging but it seems that older games are more real and more fun. So I wanted to take couple of pictures and share my feelings with you. Can you guess which game these screnshots have taken from?

Huh? So that first one is a racing game? With how detailed the world looks, it looks like it would have been a game where you explored on foot, like an action or adventure sort of game. It looks like they put a lot of detail into the game world for levels you wouldn't see much.

No idea about the second game since most FPS games (especially military ones) blend together for me if they aren't horror, since I'm not all too familiar with the genre otherwise. If I had to try and narrow it down, the textures, lighting, geometry, and overall level of detail (like how many objects there are, the trees, no real foliage otherwise, etc.) all say this is from the early-going-mid 2000s to me (like 2002 to 2004?). I was getting into PCs games around that time and that's what it reminds me of.

Can't agree more. Some of the pictures were taken via a camera mod which means all the sceneries are not directly accesible by player. Surely, they put too much effort.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
*looks up the release date*

Okay, late 2001 is close enough to my time frame guess to make me happy, even if I didn't know the game itself. I also purposely guessed slightly later than the earliest that I thought it could be in case it wasn't a big name title. Lower budget titles would keep that look around for a few years. There was just something about the look of games from that time that jump out to me. It used the same engine American McGee's Alice did which may be why it seemed familiar because I played that so much of that back then (shame the third never happened, and I'd like to see a remake or remaster of the first since its playability today is, uh... not great).

NFS Carbon had some decent style going on. It was like an upgrade from Underground, except far more serious.

It's neon lit and eerie looking city is one of the most interesting/argued concepts of NFS franchise. I recall this game received mix reviews when it first lunched, while some claimed the best looking and the most innovative NFS game ever, others criticised that this was a disaster after a successful game (most wanted)

Hate to admit that never played that very much, when Carbon was released my PC (Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.7, 1GB, Radeon 9800 SE @ Pro) barely ran it so I sticked with older titles. Should get it to PS3 though.

Had a X800 Pro VIVO @ XTPE as my last AGP card before I moved permanently to PCIe, though it's still cool to play around with AGP hardware. I may test GF3, 6800U & 3850 one day for example. :D

That one looks very late 1990s (Half Life?) but the Blue crystal and glowing Green canister thing could be Tiberium so it is also reminding me of that FPS Command and Conquer game from the early 2000s which looked similar in graphics, so uh... Renegade?

If not either of those two, then I have no clue.

It's not littered with object details, no, but relative to the year it was made and the fact that it was a racing game where all of that would be background scenery that often passes by without remaining in static view often, I'd say it's reasonably detailed and they did more than they probably "had" to.

Yep you got that right, congrats! The blue Tiberium is the biggest clue which game its from.

Oh, wow, it was Renegade? That was an off the wall guess because "late 1990s looking graphics with a scientist and crystal" could be anything. It was more so the Green glow in the back that made me guess "maybe that's tiberium" and there's only one Command and Conquer FPS game. I don't remember the singleplayer much but I recall thinking the multiplayer was pretty fun and unique for the time. If you had used a picture from one of the multiplayer levels, I probably would have recognized it even without tiberium present.

Since different random people seem to be presenting different games after the previous is guessed and I've posted here a few times, I guess I'll present one.
