Colorful unveiled its second graphics card based on the GeForce GTX 650. The GTX 650 iGame AresX builds on the feature-set of the original iGame, with overclocker-friendly features such as "One Key OC," voltage measurement points, higher clock speeds, and a better cooler. The new cooler uses a twin 8 mm-thick heat pipe design with a denser aluminum fin stack. It appears to use the same 90 mm fan as the original card. Colorful GTX 650 iGame AresX ships with NVIDIA-reference clock speeds of 1058 MHz core and 5.00 GHz memory, but at the push of a switch on the back-plate, the GPU is overclocked to 1158 MHz and memory to 5.20 GHz. The new card is expected to be priced at 800 RMB (around US $149).

the cooler looks like sports car
: cool :

iGame AresX graphics card. Never seen so much swag on such a f*cking slow graphics card. It's getting worse every gen.

WHY?! iGame on a piece of cardboard with enough CUDA cores to run metro 2033 at 1 fps on 1080...
I fail to understand why any gaming enthusiast would even think about paying an extra fee to have better cooling on a card that is not well suited for even the common gamer.

The equivalent of gold leafing your Lada

I'm surprised it doesn't have a triple slot cooler...

Lies! :slap:

It can run Metro @ 11 FPS

Next card, triple fan triple slot vapor chamber GT 640 4GB ddr2 edition?

Why have the 6pin facing upwards! WHY!

You've got the extra room thanks to the shroud anyways, use it!

Do you use a desktop case? otherwise it's facing the side panel of the case like many GPU's do. Regardless, pointless design for a low end card, this is what you get when NV starts naming their low range cards after mid and high range - GTX :slap: << NV :rockout:

I understand the use for this when the PCB is as long as the shroud.

However, when it's like this, why not have them on the back so that cable management can be neater?

Yea, just you said facing upwards, I couldn't get that bit.

In this instance they wouldn't be able to put it right at the back ie: where the pcie slot is as it looks like there are some components there already, they could just switch it round 90 degrees to be facing the back I agree.

Though even on a longer shroud it's not called for, my 7950 has both 6/8pin in this position and it's buggered up my cable management now as I have to run them straight from PSU to the card as going round the back of the MB tray they won't reach. My 570 I replaced had them at the back, much better placement imo.

Oh boy, let me buy three of these and stick them in SLI and i could run it at maybe 30fps!
you could probably run them on PCIe 2.0 x4 lanes anyway...

Myth-Busters proved you can polish a turd... while PT Barnum said, "a sucker born every minute!" And this company concurs!

Needs more "Whacky" on the cooler Colorful. You are the Kings of "Whacky Coolers" Might make it go faster :p

Guess I was the only one that though of this when I saw the card

we need a photoshop contest with that card. I would make a whole gundam referenced from that cooler xD

Yes, because ASUS obviously own the copyrights to Greek mythology...
No they don't but in association to graphics cards they could claim it's confusing and at least demand that colorful choose another name.

Is just looks good, but no decent performance.

Where are all these "Colorful" cards? I buy on the average 2-3 new cards per year for myself and my family but I've never seen any of their cards, neither in retail nor online...

I suppose it is also relatively cheap compared to, say 680 or even 670.
Tell me, what else does a typical poser need?
Looks as it might be fast? *Check!*
Labeled as a "fast OCed gamer card"? *Check!*
Is sort of cheap! *Check!*

Aww gee wiz! Poser's paradise

Amazing they're asking $150 for what's basicly a product release 3 years ago, like in the 5770 that's an $80 part today!

looks like star wars..
