Core i7 950 to be Priced Under $300 This August

Interesting but not acceptable. Intel needs (or at least I want them to) to release a 6 core cpu (w/ HT) for a reasonable price. Reasonable for me would be around $300.00 to $400.00. However this will (hopefully) lower the cost of the 920/930's in the retail and second hand markets.

My two cents~

Most likely Intel's non EE 6 core will go for about $500 at the minimum.

maybe there will be a good Microcenter price for the hexacores? a 2.6ghz hexacore with HT won't be bad and shoudn't be too expensive

I hope this means the i7 950 will be $200 @ Micro Center, there is one near me here in Houston. Probably means the 920/930 will be phased out.
