Corsair's plans to get the Corsair Link in the hands of as many enthusiasts as possible, are spearheaded by the HXi line of fully-modular PSUs. These are not just the old CWT-built HX series units retrofitted with Link support; but feature entirely new innards, which explain how they boast of 80 Plus Platinum rating. The units come in three variants, the HX750i, the HX850i, and the HX1000i. The 750W HX750i has enough juice for most dual GPU builds; the HX850i could let you squeeze in a third GPU, while the HX1000i might let you drop in a fourth one; although with vampires such as the R9 290 series and GTX TITAN Black on the prowl, we'd pick HX750i and HX850i for no more than two high-end cards, and the HX1000i for no more than three.

What they should do is allow the software to support more than one PSU, because i plan on getting two AX1500i units and i heard the software recognizes only one PSU. Which is bad !

It said in the OP it was not the old CWT units so i am pretty sure these are Flextronics made units

I don't think this is Flextronics (although it's great if it is) since they mostly do the AXi line, and I'm pretty sure Corsair intends to keep the AX series (maybe upgrading them all to 80+ Titanium)

Yeah. That happens a lot during Computex. The CDG platform was a one off and, TBH, a complete failure as a practical solution. They could never get that into mass production.

well needing 3000-4500w means only one thing... "sh*tcoins mining" obviously ... or ... triple system but as he need the software to recognize more than one PSU (who need 3 PSU in one "normal enthusiast" system, so the "which is bad!" is a pointless statement?) its' more likely the 1st option, you know ... the poor Radeon mass butchering happy will be the day when ASICS mining will be the only profitable solution... ahhhh enough extrapolation ...

also either way it's a Corsair so it will be overpriced as usual (and i was liking the RM series to be in a good price range but it ended to be the same ) for every corsair product: you have a similar product in others brands who cost way less and have the same warranty and specs... well imho ... (yet i love my Carbide Spec-01 )

well that's exactly what i say .... for every Corsair product : another brand do cheaper and even sometime better ...

i ended to hate Corsair because of that (IE: AIO Corsair Versus Cooler Master ... or Antec) but they won me back with the Carbide Spec series ... even if they lack the basic (rubber grommet on cable management hole or give more than one fan and not a single shitty led one...) the model is nice and the front bezel plastic is sturdier than some other brand ... lucky for them i have a bunch of good fans and it was the only case in that price range who had the look i wanted ...
