CORSAIR has taken last year's K68 and given it the magic of RGB backlighting. Featuring per-key 16.8M colors that can be controlled via their excellent CUE driver, or even onboard controls now, and keeping the IP32 dust and spill resistance, it is a budget friendly mechanical keyboard for those wanting Cherry MX RGB switches as well.

When you buy an expensive mechanical keyboard because you dislike cheap mushy membrane keyboards, only to discover you bought the only mushy mechanical keyboard in the universe.

$120 price tag doesn't sound that bad, as it depends on one's preferences. Adding $50 on top for a higher quality PBT keycaps may be a worthy investment. For those who wanted something that has MX RGB switches, metal frame & under $150 tag, it'll be a good purchase. Still cheaper than other vendors with similar features IMO.

This is different from the higher end K-series of CORSAIR keyboards in that a plastic case is used with a stainless steel plate in the middle, vs an aluminum frame. The former arrangement is very common, so that is not necessarily a selling factor to distinguish this keyboard.

$50 for plastic keys?

"budget-friendly option", LOL. Mechanical keyboards are such a scam.
