Corsair is ready with its new entry-level mid-tower, the Carbide 110Q. The 110 series succeeds the company's 100R and 100Q that have been around for years. The main design change is the reduction in number of 5.25-inch bays from two to one, to free up more room inside. The front fascia has a more pronounced faux brushed metal appearance. The internal layout of this case is identical to the 100-series, with the addition of two 2.5-inch mounts behind the motherboard tray, and the 2-bay 3.5-inch drive cage being detachable. The "Q" brand extension in 110Q denoted "quiet," and the case's various panels have noise absorbing foam lining. The front panel connectivity has been moved from front to the top, and includes a mobile-style headphones+mic jack, and two USB 3.1 type-A ports. The Carbide 110Q could succeed the 100Q around the $60 mark.

what century is this...

Why cant clicking on a picture bring up a window that allows me to click through the rest of the pictures in the OP? Other sites do it. But instead, i click on a picture and it turns into a new webpage and i constantly have to click back.

No matter how many times I wash my eyes, I still see it.

It looks like Define C but worse.

What's wrong with this particular case? The front looks to restrict airflow, the inside isn't anything to look at but seems functional.

Nothing is wrong with it, I'm just not sure it's news worthy. It could have been a screenshot from a case in the 90s and none us would have blinked an eye. Why waste our time with this nonsense in the news section?

Do you mean it could succeed the 100R? I don't think there is a 100Q is there? I think the 100R actually looks better than this :/

The 4th pic is upside down.

Well, I hate to say it again, but....

y.A.w.N........ back to nappy time now

The 100R was a disappointing case with flimsy drive cages, VERY flimsy side panels, and those horrible expansion slot covers that are clamped down all at once with an additional bar.

It's not the worst case on the market but it's not enough of an upgrade over the $20//€20 entry-level cases to be worth considering. Even if corsair have fixed the flimsy build quality (which I doubt) there's still not enough here to justify spending three times more on this than a bargain-basement case. The biggest problem isn't really the competition at $20, it's it's fact that even Corsair themselves have vastly better cases for just $15 more.

The one thing I can appreciate with this design is how compact it is for an ATX model. If we could get this format but slightly less cheap and nasty, I'd be all over it for corporate builds.

I don't get the negativity here. We are talking entry-level quiet case. Focus is on the "quiet" : closed side panels with foam, bottom with foam, closed front. I don't recall a major manufacturer aiming at the 60-dollar mark for quiet-features. This release might as well start a mini-trend there as I am scratching my head for another such case.

I'm not sure this 110Q has any special sound-damping foam on it that merits the Q affix.

100R also had that same sound-damping pads on the side panels and roof. I've never seen a 100R without that material. Is corsair just changing the letter from R to Q now?

I don't know why, but for years now I just do not find Corsair cases appealing to me, more like appalling!

I buy their fans and PSUs but that is about it.

What do you dislike most about their cases? Im the opposite of you and i find them quite attractive from an aesthetic standpoint.

If it was from the 90's, the case would be beige, and there would be no 2.5" drive bays. ;)

This is a product announcement. It qualifies as news, even if you don't find it particularly interesting.

I can't explain why, they just seem dull to me. I just purchased a new case and looked at all their mid towers but none tickled my fancy. Ended up with the P600s.
