I saw that. It seems as though they're might gravitate towards good high-end (read: expensive) PSUs, and start cheaping out (read: crap) on their lower end.

The sad thing is that despite being a letdown, the CX430 is still probably going to be my top pick amongst PSUs in its range for a lot of builds, due to the 120mm fan vs 80mm on a lot of its competitors, decent cable length and connectors (such as 6+8pin PCI-Express for versatility), and power distribution. However, I'm going to be choosing Rosewill's RG430-S12 a lot more from now on, I think. It's reasonably efficient (80Plus report here), has a nice 120mm fan, a single 12v rail and whoops the CX430 in amperage on all rails. Here's a side-by-side comparison at Newegg. It will probably frequently come down to prices at time of purchase.

Note: I have a CX430 here for testing and despite what Newegg says, it's definitely a Yate Loon sleeve bearing fan.

AX1200 is one of the few best 1200W psu with gold 80+ certification, and it's made by flextronics. I wonder why corsair dont use flextronics with these new line? I remember the old days when corsair only has HX620, HX520, VX450 and VX550....those are one of the best psus.and 3 out of 'em made by seasonics (hx620, hx520, vx450), one of them by cwt (vx550)
