For those who can't seem to find claw-oriented and palm-oriented gaming mice "just right," Cougar announced the variable geometry 700M gaming mouse. Designed similar to the RAT by MadCatz, Cougar's mouse has a few moving and detachable parts that let you strike the right balance between the two mouse grip styles. The mouse packs in an 8,200 DPI sensor (likely Avago-made), and eight programmable buttons, apart from the scroll-wheel. The mouse features a 512 MB onboard flash memory, and an ARM-driven embedded computer, that lets you store up to 16.8 million macros, button maps, and resolution settings. There's no word on when it will hit shelves.

its like copying design of rat and too hightech :D:D

not sure how I feel about a mouse with a hollowed-out middle section.

I am completely sure how i feel about ""advanced"" gaming mice like these:

another RAT 7

Oh you know how it would end...a city of sweat and dead skin mixed with bits of hair that happen to get caught in it. So eventually the mouse becomes a habitat for some micro organism.

Designers never think of practicality in these things.

Not much for the cable being attached to one side and looks cheap and more like a fashion thing than any thing else.

LOL

I get really frustrated every time i see a product like this... It saddens me to see that this is considered a gaming mouse, this is more like an useless toy. Those sniper buttons are not good because it will mess up your "muscle "memory. 8200dpi is pointless (450dpi is the lower limit, when 1 dpi is more or less a pixel @1080p). This mouse will probably be too heavy which can cause long term injuries in your wrist. I can confidently tell that a 10$ microsoft wheel mouse optical 1.1a (overclocked to 500hz) would be a better buy than this. This kind of mouse propaganda (512Mb???) just sickens me... Do a simple mouse that just works...

If you need anything more than a $15 mouse to be good at a video game then you suck and should probably reprioritize your life.

A 512mb mouse ,ton of macros , basically let the mouse play your games for you via automation.

I am fine with my $9 china knockoff mouse.

Nope - still getting a Logitech G502 :p

Well I was through all the years, until I tried a R.A.T. Till then I always believed manufacturers aren't up to building a mouse matching human's hands. But of couse it might depend upon using a mouse 2-3 hrs continously and this more but 1 times a day, or simply checking 3 emails then switching off the machine again.

And against all other consumer adversiting crap which rolls in day by day trying to attract me, there's 3 things that matter most. The display, the keyboard and the mouse. The whole rest like CPU power, amount of memory, hdd sizes all become senseless if the first 3 mentioned items are of poor quality.

I have a Logitech G600 mouse with the 12 side thumb buttons and it's absolutely changed the way I play games. Being able to map half my keyboard to my thumb and keep my fingers on WASD has definitely had an impact on my gaming. It cost $70 but for the flexibility it affords me it was absolutely worth it.

With that said, this mouse is an absolute joke and will likely be way overpriced.

i still think RAT7 looks better than this....

The extra g700 keys help me massively even beyond gaming. Photoshop, media controls, mp3 tag, support software, etc...

8200 DPI sensor that will never go beyond 3200 DPI even for CSGO Pro's?
16.8 millions macros, of which most users will have 20?
Blatantly stolen design from the RAT?
Adding the word "Gaming" to hardware that otherwise costs $20 to make?
Designed by the people who make computer cases that look like orangutangs?

Ive used a RAT 7 for 3+ years now...

If this mouse had a spot (wing?) to keep my ring finger off of the mat, Id be all over this.

yeah, RAT7 has already more functions then you need but is really well build and comfortable with the tumb and pinkie platforms.
Now there are many brands with mouses with aluminium frame and cyborg adaptability, Corsair also has one, Razer mamba.
If you spend whole days in front of your PC you have the right to be picky :).

Jesus christ this is such a blatant rip-off from the RAT mice. it's like not even trying to hide it.

yeah, and our pcs are such blatant ripoffs of the original IBM. come on ;)

the are many cheapoo mouses that are direct copies of RAT and other famous mouses, does anyone care?
