Yeah I do remember thermal paste getting better with age or heat year ago. Now it's near instant. Temps are the same either way.that's about it, basic hardware testing was all it ever was
Really bad thermal paste applications (especially with thick pastes) needed time to soften up and spread around, which is where 'burn in' came from in the past, combined with it being common in other fields (like speakers and headphones, which are physically moving parts and do indeed loosen up with the initial usage)
