Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2-6400 2GB Kit

Damn I will have to give mine a try now....have never tried them that low.

4-4-4-12 2.2v for 950Mhz and under and 950Mhz+ 5-5-5-15 2.2v

I'm a dummy 950mhz, you mean 475x2 (DDR2). If by that meaning then I just posted at 880mhz, stable with the advice from DOM_ATI_X800XL_PCI-E. Should I now point for the sky?

I have managed 917mhz at 4-3-3-8 on 2.25V, spose you cannot complain about that!

well I just posted for the first time at 880mhz not orthos tested. My goal is 458x7 or 916mhz (917mhz as well). But no post at 912 yet should I adjust the G MCH?

you can up the mem volts and see if that helps or up the G MCH

Sorry dudes. But my 440x7 (880mhz) is not stable I tried upping the mem voltage and (G) MCH but this clock is crashing. I am very worried seeing that some people are getting amazing clocks with this memory. My goal is 453x7 and 440 is not even stable.
:banghead:

whats your v-core to the cpu ?

Lol 2 pronged attack! reminds me of my old army days ;)

I'm running my Tracer 1066's at 4-4-4-6, on 2.15v.....

i was gonna get 1066's but i dont oc (would of put em to atleast 1066) but i guess enough people convenced me i didnt need them i guess

just an fyi post, I bought the 6400 ballistix, non tracer.. supposedly identical... after just missing asale on the 8500's// well I am supper happy with very cool, temp, chips, under air at 1125 at the auto volts setting in my p5k-e 5 5 5 15 stepping
So these chips will, depending on the ram received perform very well in oc'ing!

Yep, currently running mine 872MHz 4-4-3-5 1T @ 2.2V

what kind of percentage difference is going to 1T showing you in testing ?

Dunno, havent tested yet. Just did it tonight, and am currently running Orthos to test stability. 2 Hrs no probs so far.

on aside, I did hit 3920 (stable?) for 135 seconds in Orthos, but hot with only 1.5625 v going to cpu, so I am thinking about water bathing my tubing, where you sink it in a buckut of ice to cool the both inbound and out bound sets of vinal tuping for my water cooled sys. It was running in the mid 60's C range.. way too hot for my fears! Do you have the 8500 or the 6400 chipset? or 1066 rated or 800 rated?

800 rated. I've also hit 1200MHz 5-5-5-15 and 800MHz CAS3.

Normally it averages at around 5% across the board, that can become a little more the higher speeds you go, but of course that often in itself prevents the use of 1T :D

check my specs in the previous posts
CPUZ shows v core @ 1.37v
bois shows it at 1.4v

look at the tracer's memeory timing and SPD (se at 2.00)

I my 460W Zalman PSU (ZM460B-APS) enough?

The 2 GB kit of Crucial Tracer PC2-6400 can be yours for a very reasonable $149.44 USD (£75.00 GBP) from Crucial

Granted this was 10 months ago but I just got 2GB for the 'very reasonable' price of $40 after rebate :rockout:

Wonder if these are still GMH?

Start testing them tonight. If they perform as expected I'm picking up another 2GB for sure even though still on XP 32 atm.

Picked up another 2GB of Ballistix to add to my existing 2GB of PC8500 for just £50 :toast: am looking forward to 4GB running at 1160 @ 4-4-3-8 @ 2T!! or of coourse just 5-5-5-15 at 1380mhz........on 2.45V tho

My new sticks can do 1400 5-5-5-15 on 2.4V. :D

So far I have mine running at 890 4-4-4-12 with only 1.9v. That's good for me as a cruncher; RAM gets pounded. Lots of us on Xtremesystem's WCG team have killed DIMMS, 2GB of GCT myself recently.
