Cyberpunk 2077: FSR 2.0 Community Patch

Well it look like the mod have been used in Red Dead Redemption 2, Dying Light 2, Guardian of the Galaxy and Metro Exodus Enhanced edition. The number of game is jumping fast

i was not able to make it work in Cyberpunk, it just crashed immediately, but i was able to make it work in RDR2. Some artefact, but the performance gain was there and it was somewhat usable.

Note that it cannot be considered like a proper implementation of FSR 2.0 but more like a wrapper for DLSS. it take input the game send to DLSS and try to send what DLSS provide. A bit like Proton does for DirectX on Linux. Still in very early phase too.

cyberpunk 2077 patch today: "This patch also brings support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1, so those with AMD machines should see a performance boost from that."

we going to get another review with latest drivers and latest win 11 updates? i just am curious to see if any improvements come from this, and if so what. quality, performance, etc.

if you aren't doing it, its cool, just was wondering. :toast:

I'd love to see a comparison between the mod and the official implementation in terms of performance and visuals.

Well for me that is easy, i was never be able to make the patch work in Cyberpunk 2077, although it was working with other games.

But i tested the implementation and it's actually impressive, Some issue with transparent object and maybe some issue with image stability/flickering, but that is mostly it.

Ultra performance look actually quite nice when upscaled at 4k when you consider it's 720p upscaled to 4k.

What i find is if i am able to set settings that will get me good fps (60+) the output quality is very good. if i dial in settings that tank FPS in the low 20, there is a lot of artefact. (dissoclusion artefact, transparency artefact, etc. Slightly more temporal stability artefact but not that much).

DLSS kills shadows on the first slide, the saturation of colors is bad in some areas, FSR 2 doesn't have that issue, but has issues with foliage lighting. Overall if I had to guess I would say 4K FSR looks better than DLSS and slightly worse in some areas than native and better in a few select areas. Also the lighting on the rear of the car, not sure if it's due to time of day in the game or rendering.
