True. In a perfect world, both controller and keyboard configs would have flawless controls.
However, you have to understand that the engine built around Demon and Dark Souls was specifically designed for a gamepad and console gameplay. The engine of DS2 seems to be the same, save for some new animations and graphical updates. I'm just saying it shouldn't come as a surprise that the keyboard and mouse controls are subpar, they would have to rewrite the entire engine from scratch to accommodate such a configuration.
Some games do kb+m great...Skyrim, New Vegas, etc. But that is Bethesda, where their main focus is primarily PC.
The good news is that this game runs great on PC unmodded compared to the previous iteration (60 FPS boss fights, yaaaay!), and has lots of gfx options this time around. The bad news is one will still need a twin analog vibrational controller to experience the full experience that From envisioned. The good news is that most PC gamers should have a controller by now, it should not be frowned upon, but rather appreciated as an alternative medium of PC gaming.
