What's this obsession with aluminum frames for keyboards? I live in a low humidity environment where static electricity can build up. I try and touch my computer's case every time I sit down just in case I've built up a charge. But sometimes I miss and I don't need a little static shock any time I touch the keyboard. I already stopped using another aluminum model because of this. So I'm sticking with plastic forever.
Maybe using a desk pad would be helpful?

I think you're out of touch with common reality. Most people do not have that problem and keyboard makers don't engineer for it beyond making sure grounding is properly done.

I have decided to buy a gaming mechanical keyboard just for a change of pace. Not a gamer but the associates at BB said you do not have to be a gamer to use this type of keyboard. Ran across these gamer keyboards from low $40 to over $999. Read a couple of reviews on them and still not clear why the difference in price ranges other then the high end are metal and have metal keys on them.

Not sure what the exact difference is but I still studying the nature of these gamer keyboards and how they can charge such a heavy price for them at the high end.

A 200$ keyboard should purr you like a cat every time you touch the keys.
You made me realize a necessity I didn't know I had
