Yeah, and then EVO 860, 870 started to die on next boot, same as some NVMe drives.
I've seen death of EVO 870 with my own eyes. After OS closes, POST shows up and then ... "No OS found, please select a boot drive".
Samsung and firmware ... ouch. You really must be careful these days.

Should have mentioned mine was the 840 PRO, and purchased not long before the 850 (switched to EV0) came out. Never noticed any problems with it.

Ironically it was pretty expensive. Used it on the short lived P67 chipset. Fatality Pro series MOBO. If memory serves it was only 256MB. Still have it. Somewhere.
