My Main driver (sig) is using DDR5, my dedicated racing sim uses DDR4, and so is my VR&HTPC. Oh, I also use DDR3 (4790k) with one of the test benches.

When Zen 5 is officially retail & available where I am. I will upgrade my gaming rig, which results in "hand me downs" to other rigs I have here & then have 3 systems all with DDR5. :)

Not planning any moves to DDR5 as yet, maybe the prices will fall to a more affordable level and i can grab some faster DDR4 instead..

DDR4 and overclocked it (on Raptor Lake).

32 GB DDR4 4000.

Hopefully DDR5 prices stay as good as they are (or better) by the time I upgrade.

I'm on DDR5 but I have a rather slow 5200 MT/s 32GB for my 7900x3d/7900XT combo

Windows doesn't care and doesn't make a difference about what the memory type you are using.

No multiple choice in poll
I guess I don't use DDR3 anymore though. But of course there's even LP ddr around here.
I dread needing to find a replacement for 96gb of ddr4 ecc ram when that day finally comes.

I voted DDR4 despite the fact that the very PC I clicked submit on was running DDR5. I guess I chose DDR4 because most of my machines are running it today. Heck, I still have a few old laptops on DDR3 as well, most are semi-retired.

Trust me I'm cool with it. Some systems can be cut down to special purpose.
Shells can be swapped to mitigate memory usage issues and leaks.
Roles and hardware can be shuffled around to make best use of everything.
Except when it's 4GB LPDDR3. Not cool in any situation. ✖

2×8GB DDR5-5600 (downclocked to 5200). I've toyed with the idea of buying a SODIMM kit with tighter timings, but that's probably a very minor upgrade for ≈$100. I just don't have any use for more than 16GB of RAM, especially with my Optane drive serving as a cache.

The only benefit I'd get from the upgrade would be slightly better benchmark scores, if that.

DDR4 (32gb) on main rig, also SFF uses that (8gb). DDR3 on my tv pc (16gb). And lastly DDR2 (8gb) on a old lappy, my youngest daughter uses for the tube.

Still on DDR3, but both 4 and 5 are options once I retire the current system. I'll just see what is around and fits in my budget once it happens.
(Oh, and on the other systems are still DDR2 and SDRAM)

DDR4 here. I'll probably still be sticking with AM4 for few years, I'll just get a 5800X3D if I need a faster CPU.

My two modern rigs utilize DDR4, but I use a DDR3 system most frequently.

Once a month I fire up a WinXP machine with DDR2 just for fun. And from time to time I tinker with even older computers, mostly DDR1 based.

I picked DDR4 for the poll, since this is installed in my main gaming PC.
