7900 XTXTX is a 1K card. for example 1660 Super $250 and 2080 Ti $1250, 5X the cost but is only 2.5X faster. see non- linear.

Actually I want AMD to stop producing gpus altogether.
Why only AMD. I would say Intel, nvidia and amd should stop making GPU´s all together then. I am sure gamers and every one can easely settle with a IGPU in cpuo_O
We don´t need these power hogs any way (comming from one with a RTX 4090...)

It would be nice if they dropped the top tier pricing and go back to selling a lot of cards. Surely they have to see that people are not buying like they used to :confused:

They obviously do, the problem is the nodes being used, 5nm, are really expensive. The cards on these nodes pretty much have to cost nearly $1k I think. Or they'll lose money on each card...

What I think we'll see in the next couple of years, is cards that can do 4k 60 being made on cheaper process and selling for sub $500 and possibly much less if the production economies work.

That's what the market wants now imo.

The 5nm process has been used for years already. It is very mature and considerably cheaper than it once was.

Also, Navi 33 is expected to be made on the even older 6 nm / 7 nm process.
