Serious sam is okay, but not as good as doom in my opinion. It's much more of a proper game, being able to run about and having an objective makes it a lot more immersive.

Edit- a couple of mins of younger Bro playing, I *think* I've got 2xSS applied correctly, could be placebo but I think it looks better with headset on.

Sweet... question: what's the percentage of VR games that work on both systems? I've seen several of your posts. I was really tempted to go for an Oculus system this BF, but hadn't gotten my graphics card and monitor situation sorted out... now own/using a Vega 64 :cool:

Natively Oculus has the most games, because of it's Oculus Home software and all of the stuff on it. But you can use ReVive to play most of Oculus's games, but you can't launch Home. It's hard to say which I would buy right now. If it's just between Oculus Rift CV1 and the HTC Vive then probably the Rift due to the lower price. One good thing about owning the Vive is that it should be possible to just upgrade the HMD down the road. Example: Pimax's new HMD coming out next year will work with the Vive's Lighthouse tracking, but I wouldn't buy a Vive to upgrade it next year. I would buy the Oculus Rift and extra tracker right now. If I wanted a SteamVR headset right now, I would wait till LG releases theirs which should be soon.

Wish we can co-op in SS last hope. Or co-op in SS3 VR. That would be super fan.

I really like Croteam giving you tons of options both VR control wise and graphic wise. I find using the classic smooth moving with comform view adjusted to max FOV has the best immersion.

Oh well enough on SS3 VR, it deserves its own separate thread.

I agree, I like Croteam as well and what they are doing for VR. You want to make a SS3 discussion thread? I plan to get it at some point.

I bought Doom VFR for the PSVR for the kids. If I see it on sale on steam I'll buy it for myself some time down the line so I can play it on via the Oculus Rift.

FWIW, over the holiday I came across Batman VR for PC going for ~$7 USD. So I figure I can wait until some of these VR games are cheap like that.
