Got mine mounted in my mini-ITX build and it is working decently with single Monster 240x radiator which is shared with 4770k.

290x prepped with Fujipoly Xtreme thermal pad on memory IC and Fujipoly Ultra on VRM.
CL Liquid Ultra gpu die.

The block with the back plate which has to be purchased separately.

Furmark temps on stock voltage with a little over clock.

That's beautiful man...:respect: I would love to see some game benchmarks with a high overclock if that's possible:D

I barely got this mini-ITX rig up and running so I have to learn how to over clock the entire system.

Hoping the Sapphire TRIXX software comes out soon so I can get voltage control going for over clocking.

Great card and the water block does a great job on the VRM temps. GPU temps seem warm but I guess this card just runs really hot.

I'm not familiar with TRIX but I've heard some 'bad' things about it? Maybe someone else can chime in to help out? I always prefer Afterburner for OC.

AS for the VRM temps, yeah, the EK blocks are great at cooling VRM's. There was a Titan WB comparison done a while back and EK came out so far in front for VRM cooling.

Good luck with the overclocking. You're the TPU 290X front runner now for the AMD flagship - don't let us all down. I want to see that baby fly :rockout:

Sapphire TRIXX worked best for my HD7950 950mhz edition. Looking forward to TRIXX for my Sapphire 290X. The box stated that the card supports TRIXX but TRIXX needs to be updated.... Please somebody great update TRIXX for Sapphire 290X/290 cards. :toast:

I like trixx because it works, and doesn't have all the frills afterburner has.

Here I go thinking we have a nearly identical build just because we have similar taste, and you go buy a 290x.

Temps are good but the over clocking isn't Most I can do on stock BIOS without any voltage tuning is around 1100/1313.

Good news is the water block will fit a 290. :)

Card is beast. Even with a little over clock of 1100/1313.

That's closer to 5.2.. lol..

I have 4 x 290's.. getting ready for Ln2 with a 6gb 4930k with cas 6 2700 ram.

One thing that concerns me about your block is your use of tim. That stuff is extremely conductive and if you get it anywhere beside the mem chips, it could kill your card. I would use a non conductive paste for mem.

If you want to get voltage control for te card, you can flash theasus bios from this thread.
http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2473

He also gives you the unlocked software also to control it. Just be careful with not putting too much voltage. Since the waterblock is cooling vrms you should see some decentclocks..

From what i can tell, that's what's limiting the ln2 guys. Next week I'll post some pics of the ln2 setup.

By the way i love that impact board.. It's very powerful for memory overlooking.

I was able to hit 4122mhz with basic Kingston module on ln2. You of course need a chip that has a good imc to handle it also :)

Never had a problem wtih CLP or CLU. I probably should put light coat of non conductive coating on the resistors for protection but I use so little of it and the card is sitting flat so gravity shouldn't cause it to drip.

I have been playing with a stock ASUS BIOS and the GPUTweak for Hawaii and I have made some over clocking progress.

I hope Sapphire can beat this. I was hoping for at least a 1300/1800.

My current PR for my 290x on 3dMark11.

1216/1660

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7444911

I'm running Windows 8 on the MAximus VI Impact and I think it hurts the physics score. I'm running memory at 2600mhz CL 10-12-12-33. On my Gigabyte Z87x OC this speed would net around 13,000 on physics score for 3dMark11 with Windows 7.
