EK Water Blocks, premium water cooling gear provider, has released two new water blocks - the EK-FB KIT SR-X for EVGA Classified SR-X motherboard and the EK-FC7970 Lightning for MSI's premium R7970 Lightning graphics card.

EK-FB KIT SR-X full-board water block kit is a complete liquid cooling solution for EVGA Classified SR-X (270-SE-W888) motherboard. The water blocks directly cools Intel C606 southbridge (PCH), PLX PEX8784 PCIe lane splitter controller and power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module of both CPUs. Please note this water block cools exactly as much heat generating components as EVGA factory cooling solution. It is medium-high to high flow water block that can be easily used with systems using weaker water pumps. It is available in two variants - Nickel and Acetal+Nickel.

EK-FC7970 Lightning (abbrevated as 'LTG') is a high performance full-cover water block for engineered specifically for MSI Radeon HD 7970 Lightning series graphics cards. Please check our Cooling Configurator online compatibility system for detailed compatibility list!

This water block directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC7970 Lightning water block also features a very high flow design therefore it can be easily used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps. The angled connection terminal EK-FC Link is already bundled with each water block and allows for up to four cards to be connected via EK-FC Bridge & Link CSQ system. The bridges are available for separate purchase through EK Webshop. The water block is available only in Acetal+Nickel variant.

Both products are readily available for purchase through EK Webshop.

I think Eddy's been watching to many crop circle vidz

WTF circles again...
I´am starting to move away from EK

that would be one beast of a machine... 7970 lightnings in CF both on waterblocks... OC'ed massively... but at the point you might as well just buy 2 gtx 690's in sli. lol

The Lightning is absolutely borked by lack of DVI-D. Otherwise I'd buy one and put one of these blocks on. Silly people at MSI.

Wait is the SR-X out yet?

Threw me seeing EVGA and 7970 in the title.

Yeah... no thanks.

Also, no thanks to the SR-X since you can't overclock AT ALL.

+ one to circle hate.

A plain block would look much nicer, and these would just add to production costs and time ( not a lot I imagine but still, it adds up)

I seem to be missing something here... why not use displayport instead then, seeing it supports resolutions beyond 1920x1080 while single-link DVI does not?

If the card had the standard 7970 ports, it could be single slot with this block on it.

I miss the days when high-end GPUs were single slot.

I think they should have used the same output configuration as the HD6990 (single slot capable)

4miniDP and 1 dual link DVI

eyefinity 5x1 is the best configuration over 3 monitors for gaming.

tec/water cooling? single slot solution?

You mean hot and loud? I don't. :(

No, I mean when the waterblock and the backplate connectors all fit within the space of a single expansion slot.

I'd like to see an all DisplayPort GPU with a waterblock.

Superb but only 6 SATA ports only...will never buy it if i was planning to buy a dual LGA 2011... atleast 10 SATAs is enough...
