EVGA and Vince "k|ngp|n" Lucido have once again dominated the 3DMark Fire Strike World Records with a brand new record for every 3DMark Fire Strike category; the newest and by far most demanding benchmark from Futuremark:
  • #1 3DMark Fire Strike (SLI) = 22,054
  • #1 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme (SLI) = 11,559
  • #1 3DMark Fire Strike (Single Card) = 14,600
  • #1 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme (Single Card) = 7,308
These records were obtained using the upcoming EVGA X79 Dark motherboard and two EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN cards in SLI. EVGA Precision X 4.0 was also used to overclock the graphics cards. See the full details at the Futuremark 3DMark Hall of Fame.

I don't understand

Just last week you guys posted the record of the ASUS on the Firestrike with 21k, how can this be a record?

not that impressed tbh with a card at this price/performance it should be doing things like this ;)

The sad thing is that if you try to push more than 1.35v on the reference card you'll likely end up with a dead card.

coz this time its 22k?

 22,054 > 21,818?

Nothing says the Asus did it in SLI I am comparing the 21k result with the 14k result in fire strike with single GPU.. I will search into that.

EDIT: Sorry it WAS in SLI that the 21k was achieved.. techpowerup mentioned that..

Evga Epeen > Asus Epeen

236 points between the two (Asus vs EVGA), big whoop, but Asus got to enjoy their e-peen victory for a few days. Give it another few days, someone else will swing theirs in victory. :nutkick:

To bad EVGA's motherboard division isn't on same level as their graphics card division..

Aren't all titans nvidia just relabeled for each seller? So it just a matter of finding the right card.

Almost all cards are same ... in " WORLD RECORDS " They o.p ... if you will do the same ur card will die after month xd ...

just buy some card with good review and nice cooler :)

Ugh, boring...

This proves nothing but two guys having better luck with reaching a higher benchmark score on eVGA cards in Firestrike than they did on the ASUS ones which happened to be a World Record.

Just stating a record was broken with the eVGA titans which the ASUS ones previously set.

While luck does play a role in getting the clocks, there is also a tremendous amount of skill/knowledge involved. Even though I am an extreme overclocker that participates at Hwbot as well, if that same card was in my hands, I couldn't break the record.

Personally, I think you could. Might take a bit of practice, but without jumping in feet first, you'd never know.

However, these cards are likely Zombified in a huge way, I think I saw Vince with dual zombie PCBs on each card, I assume one for GPU power, and one for memory power. Crazy stuff that no normal user is ever gonna get close to...hacking up a $1000 VGA isn't for the timid.

omg, call the cnn :D

Custom VRMs are retro-fitted for this kind of thing.

I'm confused as to why it was possible to take the SLI record with only two cards.
