Well, the average target user of workstation/server boards doesn't masturbate while looking at a PCB. Besides, most boards look fairly normal, Skulltrail and this are the only two I can think of that look a bit silly. Even my Z7S looks "normal", and that one is aimed at a similar enthusiast market.
Sure, but I'm just amazed that with a piece of equipment that's so valuable, there's not more attention paid to cooling -- fancy coolers look fancy because they cool well, too. All those copper fins all over the place on a zalman-type cooler aren't just for looks.
