There is one thing, ive used Nvidia cards with stock coolers for years. They expelled the hot air out of the case.

My system sounds like its about to take off when the fans ramp up. It seems the aftermarket cooler is doing too good of a job and dumping a ton of heat.

So my next move is unfortunately go back to AIO cooling for the CPU. I'm thinking the EVGA CLC360 AIO as a solution to the noise.

I have a Thermaltake 360 AIO still sat in its packaging brand new after I RMA'd the last one. It's a pretty good cooler but it isnt included in any of the newer benchmarks

so I have no idea how it will perform on the 5950x. I might stretch for the EVGA cooling to finish off the build.

I dare not touch the 3090. lol :toast:

ps. this was with the GPU underclocked 300Mhz. I may have to underclock the card further to get less heat in the short term.

It destroys the aesthetic but try taking the side panel off the PC. Even to see how much the airflow is being trapped inside the case. I've checked the case, so I know it's big enough to cope normally but the 3090 is no ordinary card. The TDP is a heat dump many case manufacturers probably didnt consider. My 2080ti (MSI Duke) made more noise than I wanted, so I took the glass panel off my Lian Li cube case. Huge improvement. Not ideal for your case but it's worth checking.

Back again today and after spending some time uninstalling and reinstalling the driver i allowed it to sleep.

Upon resume I was hit with a pink sign in screen.

When I google this problem i see 'Pink screen of death'... Microsoft just say to reinstall drivers. So its looking like it could be an Nvidia driver issue.^^

Could of been the Crosshair VIII bios. updated and problem has gone away. For now... :toast:

Are you sure it's not the cable?
Pink(or rather, magenta) screen instead of white could mean that there's some issue with the green component of the color.
That could happen due to a faulty cable.
(However, that issue used to occur due to faulty VGA analog cables, not digital ones).

Its not just the colour, i get lines on the screen when I move the mouse. That is the correct colour.
