With no official press release, a new version of EVGA's GTX 295 has appeared on their website. Dubbed the GTX 295 Red Edition, the card is clocked at the stock speeds of 576 MHz on the core, 1242 MHz on the shaders, and a 1998 MHz memory clock, using a reference cooler, which appears to have simply been painted red. Although the card appears to bring nothing new to the table other than the option of a new colour, EVGA are asking US$549.99 for the card, which is $45 more than the standard black variant. It would appear following the launch of their X58 classified motherboard not long ago, that EVGA could be heading towards a new colour scheme, at least for their premium products.

Really Unique and different.. look alike an ATI card

I wouldnt go as far as "look like an ATi card" the PCB underneath is still black or dark blue/green the cooler looks like any 295 cooler but painted red with a machine/lazer cut EVGA logo nothing THAT spectacular, their just trying to make their cards look different to similar/the same cards released by their competitors.

Its just so that 'Farrari Red' is a real eye catcher.

Sexy card.

I like that they put the shroud over the backside of the card too. I've always hated the fact that they put beautiful coolers and shrouds on the side of the card that you can't see once it's installed. Instead, you get to see the ugly backside of a pcb with bar codes and serial numbers all over it.

Nicely done EVGA. :toast:

EDIT: Lol - Did anyone else notice that the box has the 90-day stepup program on it?

Step up to what? :D

EVGA looks Good In Red, I just wonder when they will Dev a AMD part like Their Cousin, XFX did.

I'd do dirty things to that card.

Really nice
red ??? yes:D

I love that card, it's gonna look great in my bloodrage workstation

Wait a minute. They are charging $45 extra just for a different color? and people will pay it ?!?

I wont Pay it, I just said the cards look good in Red but only if they get the clue that their Cousin XFX did, theyd start cashing in more.

i will get 2 those cards look sex.

Is it possible that this is part of the Product Red bit and it just hasn't been announced?

I love EVGA. I really wish they would make ATI cards. Its all I would own.

Is this even going to be available? Aside from the shortage of regular versions of this card there have been reports that they're going to stop manufacturing them all together since they're sold at a lose. I mean technically they don't have to be actively producing the card to claim the title of fastest.

WOW looks really nice in red! Would be great to see what people come up with trying to spray the regular back cooler! :p

I really want to buy that EVGA back plate in red, any ideas when or how?

So I'm the only one who thinks that card is ugly?

That's the same thoughts I had. If I didn't have my 4870x2 I would buy one.

I want it in green  LOL, I'm joking! I like it in red... stands out very much, but if some noob asks what that card is, I'm gonna say nVidia GTX 4890 :D

Why would you do that? Doesnt the GTX295 out perform the 4890 and its lonely GPU?

^ Yes, I wonder when these will come out I might snag one and sell the 4870x2.

that and the backplate, they ship a black model the comes with a backplate installed and thats around the same price 30-40$ more i think.
