Exceleram, the Highend Memory Blacksmith from Landau, Germany informs, that from today on everyone can get custom made memory. "We offer Exceleram memory custom made now - every customer has his own wishes and we are listening and responding to them now more than ever. The customer can build his dream-memory by selecting the memory, the heatsinks (even each side could be different) and the packing. Like I would do it with my new car" said Torsten Düker, CEO Exceleram. Many new colors are in process. The test run starts only in Germany, but later we can provide custom memory worldwide.

I would be interested in seeing this for the PCB's as opposed to the memory sinks. However, that does require redoing the manufacturing process.

I wouldn't even thought of that until it was to late....Maybe that will be an option

anyone who buys this but is not doing modding contests is retarded...

yeah because just having a nice looking case is retarded right.......

and yes that was sarcasm /rolls eyes..

Yeah maybe in time they will. What be also nice is custom heatsink types too.

Because anyone with a modded PC (ignoring the level of modding) has the obligation to enter such contests, under the penalty of becoming retarded...
Blacksmith? Never heard them called that before...
I can see them molding the heatsinks with a hammer over an anvil.

you got it! ;)

The other day someone commenting a mobo color scheme said: No buy, doesn't match the other parts. Now that is retarded. Could win a retards contest LOL

The pic only shows different colored ram-heatsinks? Thats already widely available..

nice. although the price will be kinda premium. i guess this is the safest way to mod ram. you get custom ram and still has the warranty. nice offering

OK, so I could tel them I want DDR3 2x4GB kit at xxxxMHz and x-x-x-x timings?

I could care less about the color of heatspreaders.

eXACTLY, that is what MATTERS.

AFter all the exiting and sweaty builing (i love that) you close your case, USE yur pc and forget the colors of the inside, fuck aesthetics!!!!!!!!!, please in the name of fuckgod whatever!

Yup nothing else would make sense - we already got hundreds of different colored and shaped ram with many many different heatspreaders to choose from.

The way i read it, you can do exactly that. It says memory, heatsinks, and "packing". I read "packing" as PCB type. Seems like fully custom ram, to me.

theres no doubt that this stuff will go for a premium

If they let me set the SPD myself and still hold a warranty - then I'll call it custom RAM and be very pleased.

OK, I emailed them and asked about specifying frequencies and timings.

The reply I received indicates that only the heatsinks are customizable.

*sarcasm* WHOA! CUSTOM COLOR HEATSPREADERS! AMAZING! *sarcasm*

Am I missing the point of this?
-Custom color/size/function heatspreaders have been out for years.
-You could always pick what kind of RAM you wanted/needed.
-You can select the "packing", huh?
