Well... 1º english isnt my first language :B and im trying to learn it slowly.

2º my case... and please remember this... im not an expert, im just a curious man

03-08-18 --> bought on Ebay
05-28-18 --> received
05-29-18 --> tested, artefacts on screen and guess what... its a fake one :'( Same day i opened a chat with the seller and ask for full refund and days latter i got it. Dropped the GPU on the wardrobe =/

This year, Youtube shows me a similar case of mine on recommended videos. And because of this video im here now tooked the gpu from wardrobe, put it on pc and artefacts arent there anymore

I looked up for some posts to learn it a few things but im not able to identify what GPU card is this... i thank you for any help i could find to put the real BIOS on this card... i bought a usb programmer CH341A and a SOIC8 adapter and im waiting for the delivery.

Some info and photos like was asked in others posts...

Memory chips:
* 1; 2; 3; 4 and 11 --> Hynix - H5GQ1H24AFR - T2C
* 5 and 6 --> SK Hynix - H5GQ2H24AFR - R0C
* 7 and 8 --> SK Hynix - H5GQ2H24AFR - T2C
* 9; 10 and 12 --> Hynix - H5GQ1H24AFR - T0C

Yeah for sure a fake bios, can you take pictures of each ram chip on the card close up so the text is clear and post them here?

my cell's camera isnt good to take a clear picture of it... but i posted it the specification of every chip and marked it on the photos... 1 to 12... it's night here... tomorrow i'll try to take better photos

this card isnt 2GB?

Look closer. There's AFR and BFR chips on it for sure. There's Q1 .125GB and Q2 .25GB chips on it for sure. There's also R0C and T0C chips on it for sure too. It looks like there might be T2C chips on it too(not sure about that though). It doesn't look like there's any R2C chips(but I'll include those specs just in case).

It's the weirdest damn thing I've ever seen as far as the VRAM goes.

EDIT: Not sure how I managed to replace the Q with a C. They all look like Q, but C would be the same specs anyway(H5GC(Q)2H24BFR). Since I'm pretty sure Q stands for Quantity, and C stands for Capacity. Which can both mean the same thing. C1 or Q1 = 1Gb(.125GB) and C2 or Q2 = 2Gb(.25GB). So...just in case there's both...let me fix that:

H5GC1H24AFR = .125GB per chip
H5GQ1H24AFR = .125GB per chip
H5GC1H24BFR = .125GB per chip
H5GQ1H24BFR = .125GB per chip
H5GC2H24AFR = .25GB per chip
H5GQ2H24AFR = .25GB per chip
H5GC2H24BFR = .25GB per chip
H5GQ2H24BFR = .25GB per chip
T0C = 4.0Gbps(1000MHz)
T2C = 5.0Gbps(1250MHz)
R0C = 6.0Gbps(1500MHz)
R2C = 7.0Gbps(1750MHz)

May or may not be a 2GB but it's definitely a 550 based card, probrably a ti version.

Has to be it, next thing is to determine what make it is if possible but can't say how much of a factor that would be.

i can dig into one of my Zotac Amp! 550ti's and see if the RAM chip layout is the same or not.

Has to be it then - Good job!
OEM card, figures considering where it came from.

Only question I'd have is why does the one he has have the 6 pin PCI-E power connector, the link shows the card as not having it according to specs on it.
You're probrably right of course but that's still making me go "Hmmmm".

Now I'm intriqued - Will remove the cooler from one of my ti's and see if it isn't the same somehow.

Yeah but whats odd is this card has 12 chips, its in a clamshell mode, but having difficulty finding the capacity, this is a mutant card because the oem 640 displayed there is ddr3

Im thinking it maybe a 384bit bus, unless it is somehow 192...

With 4 different Vram chips I totalled just over 3Gb on it, it sure is odd.

Hmm

My 550ti has GF116-400-A1 on it's chip so it's clearly not the same.
This one is a 192 bit card.

Here

If anything I'd stick to reputable sources such as newegg, amazon and reputable brands like asus, msi, zotac, inno3d, manli, colorful, galaxy/galax/kfa, evga.

@Bones they might of substituted the GF116-150-A1 for the GF116-400-A1.

This bios version number matches, it also has the video outs.

Even the Fontface is the same

Heres 4 bios.

The cooler gives it away straight away, it screams fake! and is most likely the same as all the fake 960's and is a 550 Ti

The bios states it, the coolers sticker Fontface is like a Galax/Galaxy/KFA.

Based on this... i totalled 2 GB...

H5GQ1H24AFR = .125GB per chip ---- 8 chips = 1GB
H5GQ2H24AFR = .25GB per chip ------ 4 chips = 1GB
TOTAL ------------------------------------------------------ = 2GB

i really dont know if this is right cause has variation of TXC and R0C

good... i also found this one with same GPU clock, Memory clock, Memory size, connectors (DVI, HDMI, VGA) but different VBIOS version... https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/204991/204991

This week i'll receive the CH341A programmer and SOIC8 adapter to try out this BIOSes

R0 is just a higher clock, but is backwards compatible. Doesnt matter as all chips will operate at lower speed due to bios and design

@skta try the First bios i found, that card closely resembles a Galaxy/Galax/KFA card

Is there a plague of these fake cards or something!?

Yes, and people who think they're gonna get a gtx 1050 for £50

The oft used adage, "if it sounds too good to be true", comes to mind...
