i dont really get how farcry 2 and crysis are 2 diff games? both look nice

FarCry2 was sold to another developer, hence it will not most likely not be on the cryengine, wont be optimized for just about any computer, and will most likely be a peice of shit.

Crysis is the real deal.

I hope the in game scenery looks at least that good.

lmao!

ea shanghai'd crytek, wheras ubisoft still own the far cry trademark, crysis looks like its gonna be the better game, but its yet to go through the ea un-optimisation/bug introduction process™

The scenery looks good. The two characters look corny.

^ I was thinking the same thing. I didn't much like FarCry 1 so I have doubts about this as well. I'm ecstatic for some Crysis, though.

the scenery looks spooky and dark. i like :)
can't wait for the release!

Thing is crytek has never put out a bad game or game engine. I guarantee half the special effects were added by ea though, more ways to suck our framerate to induce upgrading, bringing ea kickbacks from nvidia...I love the cycle. Once you disable the pointless shit I bet it will run rather well.

looks totaly diff style from farcry 1, but maybe coz its art, which one will continue the story line from fatcry? farcry 2 or crysis

Crysis has nothing to do with farcry, other then it is built on the same engine and made by the same company. Who knows if farcy2 will pick up where the original left off.

Far Cry - Crytek Ubisoft
Crysis - Crytek EA
Far Cry 2 - Ubisoft Ubisoft

Lol Wile, that's what my father said. Then he made some reference to Crysis.

He'd been looking at DX9 Crysis and said 'that looks pretty awesome!' Then he looked at DX10 and said "I think I like the DX9 better..."

I didn't understand why, but I think he felt the DX10 shadow and lighting was a bit over done in some areas, and felt less realistic.

Whatever floats his boat, he hasn't computer gamed since like 1996 on a p-133, so his opinion goes through one ear and out the other on this subject. Besides he's a Unix programmer, and even though he listens to old Pantera, he's still a Unix programmer...you know the type; listened to Rush and Triumph in the 70s, did 'secret' radio communications work for the Air Force in the 80s and still wears denim jean jacket coats.

Hmm, I like Rush, I like the Air Force...I still..wear...denim coats... WTF I'M MY FATHER!
