Feedback & Bug Reports for new Forums

Am I the only one with this issue?

http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...hunderbolt-graphics-card.198977/#post-3081642

Basically every time @Assimilator posts, his signature changes the text of the forum. The text in the actual replies stays the same but is does change in most places. Oddly enough the user stats only change for the people who reply after he does.

That is really really strange, yet I never noticed til just now. I just went through a couple of his posts, and it's always the same thing...

resistance is futile. your posts will be assimilated. [badly paraphrased borg quotes go here to continue joke]

I think it's actually his signature doing it, as it has the same font.

EDIT: Also interesting the quote picked up the "in chrome" which is no longer in your post.

i edited my post to add the chrome part, refresh page and it might fix that.

You are correct. Silly me didn't think to refresh.

yes, i too think its his sig - was coming back to post that. must have some open-ended code in there like that the forum is somehow applying to EVERYTHING after it

okay i used the example code of [font-potato] with an = and the forum recognised it and oh god now im typing in potato what the hell

Adding to the mystery.

He did an inception for a Dj-electric post. Or maybe it just screwed up dj's post.

Looks like a bug in the forum software, I opened a support ticket with the vendor.

This is fixed now, problem was with an addon on our end, which I forgot to update for XenForo 1.3

I broke it again, testing a different approach to the fix

If it helps, it works fine when I'm logged out (standard or using incognito mode). Once I sign it it's broken.

alright .. my idea failed, using the old code again :)

yes, it works when you are not logged in, because guests don't see signatures

I have an issue.... I think we all have an issue.

Why, or how do we code a link so it doesn't look like this http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/feedback-bug-reports-for-new-forums.194776/page-32 ?
How do we change the long link into a link that we can code as we like? like we used to. Id like to post look HERE rather then look at a long link address.

Thanks

http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/feedback-bug-reports-for-new-forums.194776/page-32#post-3083319dontwork

Notice I click on the link and it just puts the cursur where even POW Dont work

hmm it doesnt seem to work with post URLs though.

Write the word, 'THIS"
Highlight it by dragging the cursor across while holding the left mouse button.

Click the link in the toolbar across the top of the Reply window.

type or Paste the link address in the pop up window.

click INSERT

un-highlight the word, "THIS" by clicking in the reply window, away from the word.

Post reply. The word should contain the link.

That is about as step-by-step as I can muster.
